The view, calmness of the place and the staff was super helpful and friendly. There is a river walk, perfect for a morning run.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mizuno. The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning — and even on days when Mount Fuji isn’t visible, it’s still such a beautiful place to relax. The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent and offer amazing value compared to most hotels in Japan. Especially if you prefer Western-style dishes, this hotel really stands out — the quality and presentation are far better than what I experienced in other hotels in the country if we talk about the same price category. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kawaguchiko. 🌿

Fuurin is within walking distance to the Mable Corridor where the fall festival was held. The only staff is very helpful. He gave us hand warmers when we went out for a walk at night. All rooms have an excellent view of Mt Fuji.

I stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveller. I enjoyed the Japanese-styled room and the onsen, and the place was peaceful with wonderful views of Mt Fuji and the gardens (I was fortunate to have good weather during my stay). The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices and was delicious. The staff were professional and helpful, and there was a handy bus shuttle between the hotel and Kawaguchiko station. I had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend!

Our stay at the Fuji Premium Hotel was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment my new husband and I arrived for our honeymoon, we were treated with such warmth and thoughtfulness. Waiting in our room was a handwritten note, a beautiful bouquet of roses, and a bottle of wine—such a romantic and generous touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. And of course, the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji right outside our window made everything feel absolutely magical. Although the hotel sits a little outside of center town, their shuttle service makes getting around incredibly easy and convenient. We also loved that they offer bicycles free of charge—we used them everywhere and they ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. Even taking the bus from the hotel was simple and stress-free. Breakfast was another highlight: a large, beautifully prepared meal with so many delicious items, all served to you with care. And the onsen was the perfect place to unwind—so peaceful, with wonderful amenities provided. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered. But truly, what made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making our honeymoon special. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate. Fuji Premium Hotel exceeded every expectation—we can’t wait to return!

Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.

The view of Mt Fuji from the room & dining area was fantastic! The staff were welcoming, the food was great (we had both dinner and breakfast - both super delicious!). The wifi was good, there was yukata with haori in the room as well, which we could wear comfortably, the tatami flooring was charming, the beds were comfortable, the in-room bath & shower was enjoyable (I opted to have a warm bath in the tub instead of the onsen) it was fantastic. Also, it's right next to Asama Shrine, which is a beautiful shrine. The cherry blossom tree next to the red Torii gate was in full bloom when we were there, it was gorgeous.
