If I could rate this place higher, I would. Not only is the place very nice and the facilities excellent, the thing that stands out are the people. The owner, his family and the people that work there are all genuine, thoughtful and kind. They were so friendly and helpful. The treated us like people, with respect, rather than tourists just to make money off. I would very gladly stay there again.

And yet, over the centuries Casa Menezes in Batim has preserved the charm of a tranquil hideaway. The hosts, David and Nicole, are among the most generous and welcoming I've met.
