We were very impressed. The bed is comfortable and warm. The rooms are also cosy and warm. Mountain view is good, fantastic. Price is very reasonable. No problem with virtual check-in. Just call the number provided and you will be given number to access the box to collect the unit keys. Happened to meet the host, Henry who is very friendly and generous. Didn't charge us when we mistakenly opened a bottle of wine. Refused to charge though we offered to pay. Thank you.

Only accommodation we could find at the time. We stayed in a 'backpacker' twin room with shared facilities. Very old and simple place but clean enough. No staff. Check in was done via phone.

Karen and Steve made our stay a special one, with their hospitable approach. We had a warm welcome, great breakfasts and exceptional accommodation - the Owen Room is spacious and comfortable, with the perfect view over Queenstown. Penghanna is undoubtably the best place to stay in town.

Breakfast is basic but an absolute bonus for the overall price of the accommodation, I think this would have to be the most affordable, central, historical, friendly place in Queenstown to stay.

Definetly recommend this accommodation. The rooms were very clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was great. Ralph was an exceptional host. Such a friendly man. Free breakfast to top off our visit. Definetly be staying again.

Really impressed with the obvious and noticeable attention to create a special stay in this historic building. Basic accommodation at its best, in this beautiful old building that a couple is painstakingly restoring, and have clearly put their hearts into.
