From the moment I booked Maria Chico, I knew I was dealing with people who truly take pride in what they do. The professionalism of such a small bed and breakfast was evident even before I arrived in Caraíva. I personally loved the location, far enough to feel peaceful, yet close enough to everything. But what really stayed with me were the details. The shower head, the copper faucets, the custom-made drain covers, the little locket for the keys in case you and your husband decide to wander separately for a while. The tea and cake left out for guests in the afternoon. The faucet outside to wash the sand off your feet after the beach. It is such a small bed and breakfast, yet the attention to detail is remarkable. And honestly, it did not bother me one bit that it rained during many of the days we were in Caraíva. In fact, we loved the rain.

It is so lovely here. A homely feel with great volunteers…. Thank you Pam and Luna. Beds are comfortable, good bathrooms and kitchen area. Plenty of space to chill on hammocks and seating in the shade. A straightforward walk from getting off the canoe- further from the main area but this makes it quieter and only a 5 min walk to a quieter area of the beach

Everything about the property was amazing!!!! The hosts Victor, Gustavo and Fred were amazing hosts and made all the guests feel at home. The ladies that cook breakfast make the most amazing breakfast!!! The view is breathtaking! The atmosphere is peaceful! And you can get there by car! I will definitely go back a thousand times.
