Private, peaceful, great location, super friendly staff with the two owners

We stayed there for 2 days, and stuff was super friendly, they don't speak English but they tried the best to accommodate you and make the trip really cool. Very recommended 👌

Had a wonderful time! the Staff are truly warm and kind (I speak Portuguese so this likely helps). Its super well located for some of the prettiest beaches in Ilha Grande - the hikes are well worth it. It was raining the whole time but we still managed to go out and about, and the community breakfast area is sufficient to enjoy some outside/covered area and also hosts a pool table. The Food is also superb (we had the Muqueca one evening - highly recommend) - They are super responsive on whatsapp as well!

The location and the view are incredible, the swimming and the tours delightful and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful (including restoring to me a watch I had left behind). We had a magical stay. Would def recommend

The view was amazing, the rooms were super bright, spacious, we could see the ocean from the bathroom. The owner was very approachable and was answering all our requests very fast. The location gave a local island vibe.

Very pleasant stay! Love the part of the island. Accomodation was clean and new. Lovely breakfast made by the owner on the porch with sea view. Close to the beach and almost in the forest 🤍 We actually saw a dolphins from the porch!

The owner is a wonderfully helpful and kind person. He gave us great advice for the island like the boat trips on the island and how to return to Angra dos Reis afterwards. He cooked a fish meal for us for free which I appreciated. And he gave me bandages for my foot when I slipped and fell. Highly recommended ☺️

Amazing! Super cute room for family of 5 with 3 single beds upstairs and double downstairs. Beautiful view of the ocean. I don’t know if we were lucky or perhaps it was just the season but we swam with turtles right from the private dock of the hotel every day, multiple times. At least 3 turtles were present all the time and could be seen just relaxing on the dock. Snorkeling was fab tons of fish of a large variety. The bed was large and very comfortable. The caipirinhas were on point, and I should know I’ve drank many! Hosts very smiley and helpful despite my terrible Portuguese. Super happy I booked here, stayed with my older parents and 3 teenage kids and we all loved it very much. Short walk to 2 beaches and the start of the hiking trail. Close to a large variety of restaurants. Can’t rate this highly enough and wished I’d stayed here last time I visited Ilha Grande

Everything was perfect! The place cannot be better :-D the location is right in front of the beach, with two mini markets right next to it and a 5 minute walk to the pier. The room was brand new with a nice tv, everything was super clean and it had everything you needed to feel at home. The shower was warm and the bathroom was comfortable to use. I will say the main event of the place is the balcony/kitchen/dining area. We sadly had a very rare case of very rainy days and it was heaven just sitting outside but covered under the roof, with the amazing view of the ocean while having a beer and even cooking with all the necessary utensils, 4 gas stoves, a sandwich maker, a grill oven and a huge fridge. Truly unique to see such well equiped outdoor kitchen. The other thing that shocked us was that one night the lights went out in the entire town (or island maybe) and we were literally the only house with electricity because of the advanced system of panels and batteries Vitoria installed! We even watched a movie because the internet was working! Felt like in a 5 star hotel in one of the most beautiful yet laid back, quiet and relaxing towns I've ever been! It is easy to get to from Angra, there are so many options for restaurants, hikes and tours on a boat, the beach in Araçatiba is already beautiful, but you have other beaches 15, 30 and 50 minutes to either side if you want to explore, and Vitoria, the host was super helpful from the moment we booked almost 2 months before we went there. Would 100% return to Araçatiba and to Casa Quintal!
