Accommodations in Fuencaliente de la Palma

An exceptional value for trekkers and backpackers. I stayed one night in a single—it had everything I needed as a trekker and nothing more. At the same time, it was not bare bones. Extended my stay to another night and the only availability was a studio with a balcony. More than I required but it was wonderful to be able to cook my own food for the first time in weeks. I stayed in lots of places trekking all seven islands and this one stands out to me. Exactly the kind of pension that was ideal for my wants and needs but which is rarely available on the islands given the nature of the tourism there. The town is great, the location is easy walking distance to both grocery stores, a pizzeria I really liked, and a wonderful bakery.

Pleasant reception. Note that one member of the family works in the tourist office. The apartment seems to have been recently refurbished, and is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It also has a nice balcony. Nearby are two (non-gourmet) restaurants, a butcher, bakery/coffee shop, supermarket, bus stop, two bars, etc.

The location is incredible. So peaceful and beautiful. You can see Teide on Tenerife as well as La Gomera and el Hierro. The property is as pictured, though you need to be certain if you are getting the smaller home or the larger one because it’s not specific when you book— the proprietor has photos of both homes on each option so it’s impossible to know which one you’re going to get

The location was excellent, near to atractions, restaurants and stores. The house was clean and well equiped. The host was responsive and kind, and we had even some complimentary fruit at our arrival.

Casa Lela offered all that we needed and more. The apartment is larger than we thought and was comfortable for our family of four. The apartment was spotlessly clean and our host was super attentive and was going above and beyond to provide the guidance and anything we could need. Normally I was choosing north/east part of the island to stay however Casa Lela makes now an argument for me to stay in the south/west.

Simply amazing. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, nicely decorated house, beautiful garden, convenient location. A welcoming gift in the form of bananas and a local wine was a very nice surprise. This has been the best accommodation we have stayed at so far, it felt like a second home.

The place was very clean, nice views. Just few minutes walk to the supermarket and busstop.

The "apartment" is a whole detached single storey dwelling. Clean, comfortable and pretty well equipped. We were looked after by the friendly Sandra who rapidly dealt with any issues (eg supplying a heater when she realized we were a bit cold in the evening - the place is at an altitude of 800m). Sandra/family run the coffee shop and bakery opposite. Butcher, Pharmacy, Small supermarket, Bus-stop, Bars and (non-gournet) Restaurants all close by.
