Very friendly helpful staff, good food, excellent area. Locals who use the bar very friendly, and welcoming.

Beautiful location. A wonderful 2hr walk from the front door. Clean, well-designed, modern lodge with everything you need. A perfect place to get away and enjoy amazing views- horses, deer and birds.

Friendly reception on arrival who gave us a free upgrade to a very nice room overlooking the garden. She made a great suggestion of where to stay at Portpatrick our next destination.Also a book with lots of walking options in the area. Dinner was great and an extra effort was made with the happy birthday dessert for my partner. Generous breakfast,the only weakness being the scrambled eggs.

Beautiful, spacious room. Bed was really comfortable and the provisions were excellent. Kevin and Nikki were wonderful hosts, really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was top notch too!

Great getaway location. Lovely little bothy. Perfect for two people looking for a peaceful time away. Great facilities and also beautiful little summer house in the garden at the rear. Great communication from Iain. Excellent recycling procedures 👏👏👏. Highly recommended.

Our second visit to the Old Brewery. Everything you need for a good break. And it's position in the village is great.

Gatehouse of Fleet is a beautiful place to stay. I know the area very well so was able to access all the places I wanted to visit (Newton Stewart, Kirkcudbright, Castle Douglas) but was lovely to pop out to The Ship and The Murray Arms for a drink in the evening and then return home to cook tea. Laurel Bank is very comfortable and has everything needed. To enable an efficient leave before 10am, we packed the car and went for breakfast at The Galloway Lodge.

Lovely host went the extra mile by putting up a Christmas tree and leaving us some goodies. Cosy little apartment with all the facilities you could need.
