United StatesThis is a one of a kind luxurious, comfortable, pampered experience. Karen and David are the sweetest, kindest, most courteous people ever! Their years in the hospitality industry shine through but mostly their passion for providing a pampered Scottish experience reigns. The house is beautiful; the room is enormous with an even bigger bathroom with separate shower and tub. The room boasts extravagant furnishings and an even more extravagant view of the Scottish Border hills. We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

the house is amazing and in a great location. all bedrooms are huge, clean, tidy and modern. The common areas are lovely and comfortable and have everything you need. The accommodation was more than I expected for the price I paid. absolute hidden gem. we stayed as a family for a reunion and everyone loved the accommodation.

Everything about our stay was amazing. From the lovely welcome from the staff on arrival to the accommodation. The apartment was well equipped and clean. It had stunning views of the loch.
Both evening meal and breakfast were lovely, great value for money. We booked one night on route to the Highlands but would loved to have stayed longer. Our dog loved her stay having lovely walks around the loch and was welcomed in the restaurant.

This was 5* accomodation in a very peaceful setting on a farm. We loved everything about the house. Loads of space, beautiful decor, very comfortable furnishings and everything you could ask for when self-catering, including a washer and dryer, full kitchen and comfy beds. We have recommended it to family living in the area for any future visitors and would definitely stay here again!

This place had absolutely everything covered anything you needed they had already thought of it ,the owners were fantastic very friendly and the location was excellent especially going thru the sheep to our accommodation was an added bonus ,we will definitely be staying at the kites rest again absolutely loved it

Met by owner + enthusiastic canine companion.There could have easily been a problem with accommodation as Booking.com didn’t advise owner of names of members of the party - That aside ( quickly sorted as twin room offered ) the stay was problem free - The breakfast spread was amazing - In all my life I’ve never seen better

What a fabulous stay in a beautiful Victorian villa. Every single aspect exceeded my expectations. Like staying in a boutique hotel. I've never rated anywhere 10/10 in my life. Thank you Karen and David, a wonderful start to my holiday!

This cottage, situated on the Dalswinton Estate, is exceptional. There is not one thing about it that we could fault, apart from the fact that we couldn't stay longer! We had family staying at a nearby hotel and when they saw our accommodation (at a fraction of the price of their hotel) they were green with envy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moffat House. The staff were lovely. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and polite. The accommodation was excellent. It is tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable, and well located . Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
