United StatesGorgeous quiet stay! This Inn has such charm, it’s a wonderful choice for Lochranza! The staff were all so helpful and friendly, answering questions about bus service and sharing their local expertise. We could see the castle ruins from our window! The pub below had delicious food, and local brews on tap. The distillery is about a mile away, such a great experience!

JapanI really appreciated the Youth Hostel for offering a breakfast service. The space where we could eat and clean our dishes was kept very well stocked and checked up on in case of needs for refills. The folks running the Youth Hostel were just really helpful and accommodating. If I ever meet someone coming to Arran, I’ll certainly recommend they stay here.

The location was ideal, just in front of the lochranza castle and quick 30min drive from Broddick where all the main amenities were. We got three rooms for our party of eight, one quadruple room, one twin room, and one double room. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen facilities were great, with multiple stove tops, fridges, freezers, sinks, and ample plates, cutlery, for everyone. Overall our stay was amazing and we would definitely visit again.

Lochranza is situated in a very peaceful and quiet location. After a busy time back home was it the place to start off our holiday. We were glad to have a car as it is the best way to explore the island. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for your help!

Beautiful, tranquil location with a scenic view. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed at room no 1, which was spacious, comfortable and overlooked the beach. The bathroom was great too - recently refurbished, good water pressure and temperature. Nice selection of vegetarian/ vegan meals at the restaurant - we only tried 1 dish but it was delicious.

We loved everything about our stay at Butt Lodge; if you are thinking of booking, do it! Cath & Mac were exceptional hosts, we really can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. They both made us feel welcome and relaxed despite travelling with a young baby. Mac is an outstanding chef and we thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there every day. Cath is a warm, friendly host who makes you feel comfortable. We couldn’t recommend a stay a Butt Lodge more.

The hosts were so friendly. They made sure you were looked after but at the same time, gave you sufficient privacy
We had dinner and breakfast at the accommodation. The food was the best we had staying in Arran. Much better than other accommodations (including a particular 4 star hotel in Brodick) that we've stayed in Arran.
The location was also beautiful and so peaceful too.
