Fabulous hotel and amazing spa facilities! The room was so clean and bed so comfortable! I enjoyed the breakfast too! Highly recommend for a relaxing gateway!

The Rose is a great choice for a place to stay walking distance from Richmond in a historic property. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Sunday roast is excellent if you get the chance.

Cosy rooms with some antique furniture items (we had a chance to stay in 2 rooms). Every room has some basic equipment that we found useful - a kettle with a selection of tea and coffee, a hairdryer, an iron with ironinng table. The bar / gastro pub downstairs is lovely. Nice breakfast. Great location, calm neighbourhood with some shops and restaurants a few minutes away.

our room was absolutely perfect. We had a chance to stay in a room for my boyfriend’s birthday. The room was located in a space that felt very comforting, and it had a very cool view of the backyard. We felt very warm and comfortable staying at the shandon. we really appreciated the service as well. The hotel staff was very reasonable and responsive and hospitable.

Downtown turn left out the door, walk down the alley and on Richmond green , quite secure building

This is an excellent value for the money. The hosts are friendly and gracious and the room is comfortable and well appointed. I was in London to use the National Archives, and the location is perfect for that. But I think even people traveling to do the standard sightseeing wouldn't find it too inconvenient. It's close to the District Line and a straight shot into the city.

Location was great. Tube ride into the city proper but Richmond is a lovely section to wander around in and of itself

Very conveniently located close to Richmond train station. Hosts were very responsive and made sure there were fans available during the very hot weather. Spacious and nicely decorated apartment.

We loved our stay at the Richmond Escape. Farah was a wonderful host with excellent communication. The location was great, easily walkable and nearby many shops and restaurants. We were close to the Richmond Theater, (Downton Abbey and Ted Lasso), the riverfront, as well as the train station. If we are ever in the area again, we will not hesitate to book here again.

Comfortable and clean - attention to detail

We wanted something just outside London, quiet, within walking distance of the tube and something with personality. The Dukes Head Inn checked all the boxes. An added bonus, after our day touring in London we decided to eat at the pub downstairs. It was wonderful.
