Accommodations in Tetebatu

We had the entire Hotel to ourselves during rain season. Jan, James and the rest of the staff did an amazing job of taking care of us. We jammed with them together in the evening, played a little football together and were recommended a tour to the waterfalls, rice fields and black monkey forest which was really nice. Overall the experience was really relaxing and peaceful compared to busy Kuta. The views are also really nice and they make great local traditional sasak food.

We wish we had more time. This was a great stay. The villas are locally owned and operated, and the staff is exceptional. The villas are new, very clean, and comfortable. Our kids had a great time swimming in the pool and playing Jenga, which made it feel relaxed and family-friendly. We also took a tour to see local handicrafts. I am usually skeptical of these kinds of tours, but this one was genuinely a treat. Each craft and skill that was shared helped us truly appreciate the effort behind the work of each artisan collective. The kids loved weaving baskets, shaping pottery, and seeing how weaving is done. The artists were incredibly generous with their time, and it would be a shame to visit the area without meeting the people behind the goods they sell. We especially loved the hand-woven fabric. It was too beautiful to pass up.

Very good place to stay in Tetebatu. Spacious and comfortable room, staffs were so nice. Good location, easy to walk around to see rice fields, close to some good restaurants, especially you can see Rinjani mountain from this resort. Highly recommend to stay.

Why I came here I came here because the reviews were truly outstanding — and I can only confirm every word. I originally planned to stay one night, but it was so amazing I extended my stay. I wanted something local, and ended up planning a full day with Yousef. Every cent was worth it — without them, you wouldn’t see all this. No pressure, just joy The best part is that he takes you everywhere without pushing you to buy or do anything. Unlike some guides, there’s zero pressure — that alone deserves a 10+! You’re greeted with open arms from the very start. I can’t emphasize enough how truly welcome you feel. We explored rice fields, saw monkeys, did motocross, joined a bamboo workshop, visited multiple waterfalls… 100x thank you!!!

We loved everything about our stay. The location was perfect and the grounds were beautifully set into the rice fields. The rooms were very spacious and clean and the front porch had a wonderful view. We had a nice breakfast in the restaurant where there were friendly staff.

Great communication when my flight was rescheduled four hours later and driver checking in with me to make sure smooth meet up. Lovely family feel. Runs on island time so don't forget to slow down. The Alam arranged all my tours. Saw two types of monkey in the forest. Big walk to take in the rice paddies. I even volunteered to help the ladies plant rice on our walk around, so fun.Stop off at the snack shack then off to the waterfall. In the afternoon I did the big 4 waterfall tour and after spent time learning to weave. I cried the first sunset because the beauty of the area is so special with Rinjani in the background. No mosquitoes! Even with so much water rushing down the mountain everywhere. Very friendly and helpful.

This place is like a little piece of heaven, surrounded by rice fields, with beautiful view of Mt. Rinjani right from the pool. This homestay makes you feel home, home cooking is also amazing. People who run it are incredibly nice and cool, everything is possible. I don’t remember feeling such a chill vibe for a long time. Booked it twice. Before and after the Mt. Rinjani trek to rest, ended up staying longer. Thank you for everything!

Stay here. It's a beautiful experience. The family are truly beautiful people. Good food, local life. Day trip to rice fields, waterfalls, monkey forest and bamboo craft village. Authentic and memorable. I can't wait to come back. Eddy plays guitar and sings. A great time. 10/10.

A really nice villa with great location and a great host. Soh the owner invited me for a BBQ which i really enjoyed. The location is in the middle of the rice fields, yet accessible by car if you have luggage and within walking distance to the restaurants and everything. Soh also has motorbikes rental with clean helmets and the bike was in a brand new condition. Highly recommended.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Very peaceful location with beautiful views. The staff are friendly and the restaurant serves very tasty local food with large portions.

The place was really beautiful, the room also and it was very comfortable, the food was good, the surrounding waterfalls, nature and hidden spots were lovely and vibrant. I'm really grateful to one of the members of staff and his group of friends, they really transformed the experience into something amazing and lively - with their kindness, generosity, friendliness, musicality and humor :)

The room truly felt like home so peaceful and comforting. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was incredibly relaxing. A perfect place to slow down and rest.

Pay a little extra and take the upper floor room, they are renovated with A/C and most importantly, those rooms have an amazing, breathtaking view of Rinjani volcano. People of Tetebatu, including staff of Pondok, are the most welcoming people I have met on my travels so far. Everybody will greet you, smile at you, ask you about your home country or how you like their village. One of the staff told me it is normal to act in such kindness there and was asking me it is the same in your country Is everybody greeting everybody and smiling at each other? Saddly, I answered No, realizing how we distanced socially and how tragic it is .
