This place was recommended to us by family, and we absolutely recommend it to anyone. And did I mention the yummy breakfast?! A true Donegal experience, surrounded by an amazing landscape.

I had a wonderful stay at Carrick Gate. The room was very comfortable, peaceful and extremely clean. The house is newly renovated and has a great location next to the river in the charming town of Carrick.
The staff I had contact with, Lucy, Jessica and Frances, were really friendly and helpful.

This is an exceptional B&B. The entire property has been refurbished and extended to the highest standard. Jessica was great - she met us on arrival and too time to explain everything we needed to know regarding our stay. Our room was modern and spacious with a wonderful ensuite. Wi-Fi access was perfect! Breakfast was generous and very well presented.

Great location in village of Carrick, ideal location to stay when visiting south west Donegal. Very recently renovated to an exceptional standard and with great taste. Our room had a lovely view over the river. Really helpful and friendly service.

I had an amazing stay at Carrick gate. The whole place was very modern, clean and the staff were very attentive. There was access to tea and coffee at all times and the breakfast was lovely. I would highly recommend this place to stay! Its in a great location and good pitstop point for exploring the area.

Lovely stay, wish we could have stayed longer. Check out Joe and the shuttle bus to the Rusty Mackerel! Great bar/ restaurant recommended by our host.

Beautiful and modern interior, clean and sparkling room , beds are comfort, great rain shower, a perfect coffee machine (love the hot chocolate☕), various and delicious pastries for breakfast. Walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. All you need is there. A perfect stay if you want to go to slieve league and it's surrounding.

Excellent location, an ideal base for a hiking trip. Property has recently been renovated and it's clear how much investment (in terms of time, energy and money) has gone into it. Room so immaculate, really comfortable and modern. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. And Jess, the host, couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time and look forward to staying at Carrick Gate again in the future.
