The reception desk staff member -Junko- went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, even finding an alternative restaurant (our chosen one was busy) and organised transportation for us. Service like this makes for a great holiday memory. The hotel is great value for money and centrally located.

This was a perfect place to stay for a few nights in Takamatsu. Easy entry. Comfy beds. Fridge and induction hot plate. Great deep (short) tub and shower. Even a few condiments for cooking. Close enough to train lines. Very close to shopping arcade and large grocery store. Our very kind host contacted us readily and even gave us a lift to the ferry on our departure as it was raining hard and we had trouble getting an Uber! First class kindness.

I enjoyed the location. Having been to Takamatsu several times previously I could orientate myself from Takamatsu JR station / long-distance bus terminal. However, I recommend a first time visitor to the city to check for a city map and directions with the Tourist Information desk, inside JR Takamatsu Station. (They have a counter just inside the station entrance to a department store). I arrived when it was dark so I wasf this is not possible, walk out the sation towards the castle entrance. There's a tram station (terminus). Follow the tram line, curve left, and where the tram line later turns right into the city, keep walking straight. You come to water (a dock) towards the left. Turn left, and after a few metres on the left there is a tall and narrow light-coloured building. I had never previously stayed at "Happy House". It was dark when I arrived, so I had look carefully for the numbers / names of the houses to find the entrance. I like walking, I like many features of Takamatsu (taking ferries to the islands, the sea air, the tranquility, etc), and so I liked the location of "Happy House". Also, and because I needed to do some work each morning, I appreciated the quietness of the location. If you plan to visit the always spectacular Ritsurin Garden and prefer not to walk from "Happy House" or from the JR station, you can walk back to the tram station at the castle and take a short tram ride to "ritsuren-koen" station. To get to the impressivley long and lively shopping arcades from "Happy House", walk back to the where the tram line curved "right" (now left when you're walking from the property) and in five minutes you're among a huge variety of shops and restaurants. Inside the apartment there's everything you could need as someone wanting to combine work and leisure for a few days: neat, clean, convenient.

This is a great apartment in a superb location with all the amenities to enjoy and feel comfortable. The beds and pillows are so great, it’s a spacious apartment that the photos don’t do justice. We walked everywhere and loved Takamatsu because of this apartment. Great communication and great cleaning and design all around! Super value! Loved it!
