It’s a bit of an effort to get to this onsen, but it is well worth it. My husband and I stayed in a room with a private onsen. The room itself was very large and included a bedroom and several other spaces. I loved spending time relaxing and reading in the small sitting room. The private onsen was incredible to have, as you can use it 24 hours/day. The entire hotel space has tatami flooring, so you get to leave your shoes at the entrance and immediately feel the relaxation begin. We had dinner at the restaurant 3 out of our 4 nights and it was incredible. The food was not only delicious, but plated beautifully.

Communication prior to the stay was beyond excellent. I had messaged about travel and connections from the Shinkansen and nearby Yokote where we attended the Kamakura Festival. This property was very elevated and unique. The architecture, woodwork and traditional structural elements were absolutely gorgeous. We appreciated the turntable in the room (relaxing) and the staff were extremely gracious when we arrived by providing soup and beverages in a timely manner. Breakfast service was delicious and presentation beyond exceptional.

The residence is super clean, you have all you need, and in top of that the host Kyoko san is a very warm and welcoming person, that receives you with a smile and support you with everything you may need, from recommendations to sightseeing places or restaurants. This is a top one! Located right beside the JR train station this is a pretty new hotel of top quality of everything you can think of. Good noise canceling, smart solution design in the room with all the necessary amenities. That said, the room is standard size like other business hotels and there is not a lot space for clothes etc. So if you are a heavy baggage traveler you need to be creative. The bed is of good size and a firmone and was very comfortable. The fridge is a small kind of mobile one, but no problem to store some drinks or a bit of food in their. The hotel itaelf has a restaurant and supermarkets and other restaurants are in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and will take good care of you and is English speaking as well. In about 20-30 minutes by foot you're at the Yokote castle and the nearby park. For further away sightseeing, e.g the manga museum you can rent bicycles at the tourist information which is located at the train station. I really enjoyed my stay in Yokote.

The hotel location was great, pretty close to the train station. The breakfast has a lot of options, it was one of the best in my life. The hotel staff was amazing and onsen was great to relax.
