This little gem of a hotel tucked away down a side street away from the pazazz and dazzling lights of the Unawatuna beach road, is ideal if you want that sanctuary feel , you know sometimes how it feels when you come home, after being out all day sightseeing I abs loved coming back to the calm and quietness of AURORA , Staff bending over backwards to help you with absolutley anything Nirosh and his team are there waiting for you so they can help with anything - an example of this kindness, my sim card did not work that i bought at the airport - without Hesitation Nirosh took me on his bike to the head office of the network which was in Galle to help sort my phone !! - thats the sort of help I am talking about ! The jungle vibe and chilled pool - huge bedroom , comfy bed , awesome aircon, fridge huge bathroom and even bigger balcony all modern and clean lines - makes this an affordable piece of heaven - and greatly located for the sightseeing in this area - as well as the most fabulous beaches - which are a mere mins away ranging from 5-15 mins Frog Rock, Palm Rope Swing, Turtle, Dalawalla, Mihiripena, Thalpe Beach - Jungle beach bit more of a trek but all walkable from this fab place ! The food and ambience as well the aesthetic was solid plus the staff was super helpful

Beautiful, clean, comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious including their delicious homemade jams. Loved the rooftop pool area.

Amazing location and facilities We also enjoy even though it was off season but for us rainy day was part of entertainment :))

Stayed for three nights, wish I could have stayed more time, amazing hotel, quite new building with reasonably sized rooms and very nice terraces facing the ocean directly, very clean and extremely helpful staff, we asked for late check out because of our departure flight and Mr Taranga the hotel general manager was so understanding and allowed us few extra hours, one more positive thing about the hotel is the food which was very good at breakfast and dinner with nice variety and good taste and quantity, I highly recommend this place for a nice beach vacation

A unique hotel with responsive staff! This hotel is unlike any other because it's located right in a wildlife sanctuary! It offers complete immersion in the jungle while maintaining a luxurious quality of life! An excellent restaurant with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine adapted with a modern twist! Ruan and his team are beyond praise! Kanti in the kitchen is a kind culinary goddess! After leaving the hotel, I still remember the local vibe, and my soul longs to repeat the experience!

Loved my stay here. Good vibe in rooms, comfortable bed, absolutely loved the Aqua deluxe room which had an amazing sea view. We were upgraded free of charge to a nicer room which we really appreciate on behalf. Tasty English breakfast in a lovely restaurant. Friendly and professional service provided by the staff. Definitely will be back again !!!

Everything! The rooms are fantastic (I stayed in a King room with a partial sea view, view over pool and great balcony), the swimming pool is large, clean and fantastic! The setting on the rocks overlooking the ocean, the food (seafood platter is GREAT value for money, curries and breakfast delicious), the staff, highly rated and recommended. We stayed at the Waves 5 nights and their sister property, The Beach House 4 nights and it was a fantastic combination! Waves gives you luxury and a great pool, while the beach house is a little less luxurious and no pool but ON the beach and in the heart of the town for shops and restaurants - I loved every moment and would highly recommend this! Thank you! Great wi-fi at Waves hotel.

The staff helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and comfy beds. The restaurant also good one! It is far away from hustle&bustle but everything nearby. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Kauson helped us a lot during our stay and even after we left

We hadn’t seen any reviews online and wondered how that was possible, because it looked so beautiful. We decided to take the risk, and it turned out to be the best decision we made this holiday. We were welcomed very kindly. Apparently, they had just opened and we were their first guests. I was given a little flower upon arrival (how cute). The room was gorgeous and very clean. I booked a massage, which was also very good and affordable. The food was truly delicious as well! In the evening we enjoyed some drinks with the owners and had a great chat. Such lovely people! They arranged pretty much everything we wanted—they even arranged a car to take us to the airport. All in all, 5 stars, and we will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful and boutique beach house, nice interior, rooms clean and new, very helpful staff, great service, tasty food, nice beach restaurant, central location.

Definitely the best BNB I’ve stayed at thus far ! The house was so beautiful and clean, and as a solo traveler who wanted a peaceful weekend, it was perfect. Price was well worth. Owners and staff were super kind and accommodating too !
