The villa takes its name from the mango trees shading our garden and when they're in season, you're warmly invited to pick and taste the sweet, sun-ripened mangoes yourself. It's a small pleasure our guests never forget. Freshly prepared Sri Lankan and international breakfast is available on request, and our caretakers are on hand to help make your stay effortless. The villa has a story of its own, too. After the 2004 tsunami, it served as a United Nations emergency response centre, and for the decade that followed it was home to the NGO teams who helped rebuild Unawatuna. Hi, I'm Kam! 👋 I'll be managing your reservations and making sure everything is smooth before you arrive but the real magic of Mango Tree Villa is my parents. The villa is our family home turned guesthouse, fully family-run, and all the income supports their retirement. My parents (Mrs. Lakma Paranagama & Mr. Dhammika Paranagama) are the ones who'll be looking after you, and honestly, you're in the best possible hands. They're retirees who love nothing more than spoiling their guests expect a warm welcome, a proper cup of Ceylon tea, home-cooked flavors, and the kind of genuine Sri Lankan hospitality that can't be trained or taught. Don't be surprised if you arrive as a guest and leave feeling like part of the family. That's just how they are.
