It's a great place to start or end your stay in beautiful Sri Lanka. Only 30 minutes away from the busy airport, you arrive through a beautiful alley of mangrove trees to be greeted by the great team of Ging Oya. Imasha, Romesh, Nilantha and all the other staff make you feel right at home. The food is freshly prepared and tastes great. The pool is clean, large and a nice way to cool down. If you like nature and some quiet time, you should definitely plan to stay at Ging Oya. I know, I will again next time!

Beautifull accommodation and swimming pool. It's like 1 minute walk to the beach. Perfect to relax after the flight. Markus is very friendly and helps us a lot with our planning the next 2 weeks.

Ging Oya was EXACTLY what we needed after our flight from Australia. We stayed for 2 nights. It was quiet, peaceful and lounging in the pool with a view of the lake was beautiful. The staff were super helpful and the food was delicious. We have recommended Ging Oya Lodge to everyone we have met in Sri Lanka!

Beautiful oasis in a quiet location. Lovely bungalow accommodation, with a nice pool surrounded by palms giving it a nice tropical feel.
The service provided by Markus and his team was excellent. This included a taxi pick up from the airport at an ungodly hour - all arranged smoothly for us.

What a great welcome! Nothing was too much trouble and it was the perfect location to start our holiday. Paradise oasis right next to the sea and the food was superb. The honesty fridge with cold beer was perfect.

Perfect stay at the Karanukarala Ayurveda resort, especially the Ayurveda treatment was wonderful.
In the beginning, the crew told me it was fully booked, but in the end, they managed to schedule it for me.
The room was big, and really clean and the beds were very comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay there, especially to relax (recommend the yoga and meditation classes).

We used this hotel as a one night stop off when we arrived before travelling around Sri Lanka. The location is remote, but that didn't bother us as we only stayed at the hotel.
The pool was big and clean, whilst the room was really comfy.
