We loved the pool with a view, the breakfast (I recommend the burrito), and the proximity to Playa Madera. Great value!

It is amazingly beautiful, well taken care of and love how they have honored the nature. Their private beach was incredible.

The Staff is great , they work hard to keep the place clean and are so helpful. They are so accommodating with shuttles to any you want to go. They take good care of you.

This Place is incredible. The room are tastefully decorated, beds are super comfortable, the linens impeccable. Everything was very clean, the staff is super friendly. The yoga room on the top floor is insane with big windows overlooking the beach and the misty cloud forest. (My kids were able to run around and blow off some steam in the yoga space during a rainy afternoon - definitely something that we didn’t expect to have such a great impact). The food is definitely above average for a secluded place with fair prices, you can even preorder fresh fish the day before! There’s free water and a coffee station too. The pool includes a kids pool as well, which was great! The beach is reachable by foot and less than five minutes away. We had the beach for ourselves during week days. You can discover tropical birds, monkeys and frogs on the property as well, there even was a brochure explaining which animals you can spot - also something that was just a fun thing to do which we didn’t expect 😁 Definitely would recommend to stay here as a family when there are no retreats ongoing, 10 out of 10!

Lovely staff that goes above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Excellent location, close to absolutely everything you’ll need in San Juan del Sur. Very clean. Amazing vibes :)

Everything, Friendly and attentive staff, fast internet, hot water, air cond clean and comfortable. They upgraded me to a larger room free of charge. I had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

The Beach is on the corner... amazing!!!... it is so secure ... and is is a good place to just go to the bed and sleep... place there are great.... small but clean place...

The location of Hotel Marea was amazing. The beach is very close and very nice, with a few restaurants to choose from for meals. The hotel is trendy and it was great to have access to basic kitchen facilities.

The owners are very friendly, the coffee provided is excellent, the beds are comfortable and the lobby has beautiful wooden furniture. The location is excellent and convenient.

We had a great stay and I would definitely get back to this place. There is a very familiar atmosphere as the property is family owned and they make you feel at home. Marta, was very kind to us and always available to help.

Patio courtyard was cute and lush with plants. Small kitchenette in my room was helpful. AC and Hot shower were lovely. Kind and helpful hosts.
