This Place is incredible. The room are tastefully decorated, beds are super comfortable, the linens impeccable. Everything was very clean, the staff is super friendly. The yoga room on the top floor is insane with big windows overlooking the beach and the misty cloud forest. (My kids were able to run around and blow off some steam in the yoga space during a rainy afternoon - definitely something that we didn’t expect to have such a great impact). The food is definitely above average for a secluded place with fair prices, you can even preorder fresh fish the day before! There’s free water and a coffee station too. The pool includes a kids pool as well, which was great! The beach is reachable by foot and less than five minutes away. We had the beach for ourselves during week days. You can discover tropical birds, monkeys and frogs on the property as well, there even was a brochure explaining which animals you can spot - also something that was just a fun thing to do which we didn’t expect 😁 Definitely would recommend to stay here as a family when there are no retreats ongoing, 10 out of 10!

La Sirenita - Ometepe provides beachfront accommodations in Altagracia. 3.8 miles from Maderas Volcano, the guest house offers a garden and a bar. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge.

I cannot describe how much I loved this place; I was made to feel welcome and at home from the minute I arrived and so much care and thought has clearly been put into the casa. The communal spaces and garden are beautiful and spotlessly clean and I loved all the little details like your own space in the fridge and that you can buy/order in groceries and drinks. Location was super quiet and close to the beach and it was really hard to leave this little bit of heaven!

The ranch is quiet, it’s a beautiful property with all kinds of trees and bushes and located at the lake. The bedroom was simple, but spacious,clean and a fresh breeze coming through at night. The room has a terrace with a table, chairs and hammocks. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom fine. Very quiet at night. No roosters or barking dogs. The owners are very sweet, caring, and lovely people. Daniela is the best cook and every day I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and dinner, lovingly prepared by her. Meals are nutritious and inexpensive. Tony is the best motorbike chauffeur and he gave me a lovely tour of the island for a very reasonable fee. Just note; mistakenly I I took the long way from the port to their ranch. (Google) After the port you need to get to the dirt path that is immediately along the lake. It’s about a 15 minute walk, quiet and safe. It is possible to take a tuk tuk to the entrance in the main road. You have a 5-7 minute walk through the banana plantation to the ranch. I would have loved to spend more time at their ranch, but unfortunately they were fully booked.

The Jungle Lodge has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Mérida, 1.8 miles from Maderas Volcano. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with city or lake views.

The Jungle is a great escape from the more popular destination for travelers like Balgue. It is quiet, located on Merida island and the views are incredible! Nothing beats waking up to views of the lake and hearings birds chirping! The staff is very nice and easy to communicate. If you're looking for a more off-the-beaten path location, this is the place. Only 20 minutes to Balgue, but about 1 hour from the port in San Jose del Sur. There is an on site restaurant and the property is located about 10 minutes from the iconic San Ramon waterfall. Overall I really enjoyed my room, the spacious room and of course - the views!
