The bnb was very beautifully decorated and maintained with excellent cleanliness and facilities. The space was sufficient for 5 people and the location was very close to the centre of the town. The hosts were very helpful with explaining us how to find the keys to our room even though we were very late for the check-in.

We liked the location, and even though there was no private parking, free public parking was only a 5-10 minute walk away. We loved the canal view from the large windows. The room was spacious and quite comfortable. The attention to detail was incredible! The breakfast was substantial, varied, and delicious.

The apartment is a beautifully renovated old house, with modern furnishings for conform but with old original style all around. Everything was very clean and in good working order. The kitchenette is small, but it has a nice induction stovetop and a combi (induction+grill+microwave) oven to cook there if you want. There is coffee and tea and a small fridge filled with soft drinks and some beers from a local brewery. They even let you try one of the beers for free, which I think is a nice touch. The beds were nice and comfortable, even for tall and heavy people. The sofa and the rest of the furniture in the living/dining room area were also comfortable and adequate for 4 people. it was a a bit confusing to find the door, since there is no door number and no picture of the door in Booking, but then you can deduce it because it's the only door between two stores. The check-in was very easy; you call a number and they explain everything and give you a code for a lockbox next to the door where the key is stored. The area is the best you can find. It's located on a pedestrian street, right in the center of the beautiful city of Dokkum. There are a lot of pubs and restaurants right next door and most of the sights of the city are a few minutes walking. If you come by car, there is free parking with chargers for electric cars (De Helling) about 5 minutes away; very convenient if you come by car. I would totally recommend this apartment for a family with 1-2 children. With good weather, you can rent some bikes and sightsee around, visit some museums (most have activities for children) or rent a boat or a canoe and go around the city canals.

It's an amazing apartment in a very convenient location. It's right in the middle of town, less than a 10-minute walk from the bus station. Our host was great! She made sure there was a loaf of Frisian sugar bread there, plenty of coffee, and some other snacks. The beds are comfortable and the space is pretty large with cozy seating areas. There's a pretty large kitchen in there so you can do your own cooking if you want to. I'd definitely strongly recommend this apartment for a stay in Dokkum!

The location was nice and the bedroom was good. The bed was comfortable.
