United StatesProperty is great. The backyard is very pretty and the house is well equipped and comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful. Lake Hawea is a nice quiet alternative to Lake Wanaka. We had a nice time swimming at the beach in town and walked everywhere.

Absolutely everything was excellent. My husband and I booked only 1 night and regret not staying for longer. We booked the hot tub and the experience was amazing. The staff Gloria helped us but adding more wood to the hot tub and made it like a camp fire in the hot tub. She brought us some marshmallows which we roasted while we were in the tub. It rained the whole night and the sound of rain was lovely.
The heated bathroom floor and fireplace helped us stay warm.

Wonderful accomodation by the lake. Their staff were superbly helpful providing alot of info and help when d road was closed towards Fox Glacier.

The location is unbelievable. We had the tent with a bbq right in front of the lake - at the price of a Motel. It’s a once in a lifetime setting there, getting up early, seeing the sunrise and then having your breakfast done on the Barbie… unbelievable. We loved every second there. We never stayed anywhere close to this in terms of unique flair.

Love the location at Lake Hawea and the multiple types of accommodation depending on needs, wants and budget. Love love loved the live music on Sunday and the fact that there's a food truck for dinner on site with amazing burgers and pizza. And loved that the Secret Sauna is on the property as well, I didn't realise that what I booked both (thought they're just in the same town, not that I could walk back to my room afterwards).

It’s a nice campground and thought the accommodation would be overlooking the lake. It’s in the middle of the campground. Check in was easy as we checked in after hours and they had instructions. It does have a food truck and amenities. Very simple. Kitchen building was ok, nothing crazy. Beds were comfy, but very low bunks and no ladder for top bunk so had to use stool or be very flexible. The price was cheap, but I think I’d rather camp closer to Wanaka next time and stay in a tent.
