As I arrived in the early evening, the owner gave me a tea kettle so I could make some tea to have with my biscuits for a light dinner snack. Very welcoming. The place is newly built and very clean and comfortable.

The location is great. In the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful place. Very helpful stuff.

The camp location is unbeatable, sitting right on top of the dunes with breathtaking views. The staff made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Gautam, who was incredibly attentive to all our needs and made sure we got the room with the most spectacular view in the camp.

It was a fantastic stay in SAMA Al Areesh Desert Camp. We enjoyed the camp vibe a lot as well as the stylish desert food provided. The staff is quite helpful with any problems you may have. Most importantly, this camp site is accessible with vehicles that are not 4WD.

Amazing spot in the desert surrounded by beautiful sand dunes. The camp itself is the perfect size (not too big not too small) to make the experience even more special. Tents are traditionnal and very comfy with great beds and a little bathroom. All staff is really nice and helpful. We made traditionnal bread and had a lovely dinner in the main area. Activities were fully organized by the camp before arrival. Thank you Alfarooq for making it so easy and enjoyable!! Full transfer from Muscat with a comfortable car and very reliable driver. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Al Salam Camp in Bidiyah, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. The camp’s location is simply excellent; we reached it easily with our normal saloon car, which was a pleasant surprise given the desert setting.The staff at Al Salam Camp were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We opted for the Deluxe tent, which was spacious and beautifully designed, offering a unique boutique experience. The open-air shower facilities added a special touch, allowing us to enjoy the natural surroundings while maintaining comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The buffet BBQ dinner was truly exceptional, with a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. Everything was prepared to perfection, and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Al Salam Camp for anyone looking for a budget-friendly and peaceful night in the desert. It’s the perfect escape, combining comfort, excellent service, and a stunning location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with a truly authentic atmosphere. The place feels genuine and full of character. Said is an exceptional host — very kind, attentive, and funny. As a local Bedouin, he brings a truly authentic experience that you simply cannot replicate elsewhere. His stories and hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed several activities, including a camel ride, an exciting 4x4 desert drive, and sandboarding — all of which I can highly recommend. Everything was well organized and added so much to the overall experience. The evening sitting by the fire, listening to local stories under the breathtaking night sky full of stars, was the perfect highlight and made the whole experience even more magical. I would warmly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a genuine and unforgettable desert experience. Thank you Said!

The host was fantastic, easy to communicate with. Great facilities and overall nice experience. Best part is that it’s a small camp with only 2 tents so plenty of privacy and quiet to enjoy the desert. Best experience dune bashing and sleeping under the stars!

A truly authentic Bedouin-style camp with breathtaking views. Hamid was exceptionally kind and welcoming, treating us like family and paying close attention to every detail. The camp itself was very clean, comfortable, and well organized. The entire experience was absolutely worth every cent, and the food was excellent.

My friend and I stayed at this camp for one night. When we were about to reach the site, our car got stuck in the sand. Salah, the owner, patiently got us out of sand. While we were enjoying the sunset, they prepared a delicious meal with authentic BBQ skewers that were one of the best I had in Oman. Salah was clear on facilities the camp offers and we had a peaceful stay. Highly recommend if you are looking for an exceptional experience: fewer tents on the site, a bit farther away from other camps, and a great view from the top of the dunes.

Everything + the activities was amazing and so fun! The food was really delicious too. They have water/coffee/tea/fruit/dates all complimentary and also built us a fire in the evening. We opted for the single plate for dinner rather than buffet and it was more than enough food! We also added sand skating (which was mostly sleds), archery (shooting) and ATV. Highly recommend doing the ATV - it was so fun! Thanks for a great stay.

The property was very clean and the caretaker (Mr. Sajjad) was very helpful. The property is about 200 meters away from the sand dunes. The views from the property during the morning and night are equally spectacular. There is a road for cars that are NOT 4x4 to reach the property as well. However, it’s best to contact the owner for guidance. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The surroundings are clean. The owner was very friendly and polite. We loved our stay!

It was a wonderful stay! The weather allowed us to sleep outside looking at the stars ,which was amazing. Food was great and everyone was very hospitable. Everything was prepared for our comfort . The location is great,we saw goats and camels walking in the desert and enjoyed silence and peace.
