GermanyAn amazing and unforgettable experience. Mario and Julia were the best hosts. They showed us all over the island, answered all questions in detail and are just one of the nicest people we have ever met around the world.
The island is a magical place, rarely any disturbing noises, just nature and an tranquil lifestyle.
The nature is absolutely stunning. If you come to the island make sure to stay at least 1, better 2 or more nights to fully discover the island and to give your mind and soul a proper reset!
Rooms were very comfy with 24h electricity and in our case a hot shared shower.
You can eat lunch at the local community restaurant and Julia will make breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable price. Local crafts can be bought directly from them or from other families at the main square.These products can not be found in any other place! Just make sure to bring enough cash as there is no ATM on the island and only one little store accepts card payment.
If you are in Peru or in Bolivia make sure to spend at least 2 nights here, you will not regret it!

ColombiaA comfortable place to stay on Taquile. Our hosts Julian and Ana Juliana were very welcoming and accommodating to all of our needs and questions. Julian spent time with us sharing some of the history of the island, agriculture, and plant usage as well as giving us suggestions of where to visit. Highly recommended!

Familia Celso was amazing. Their home and the accommodations were peaceful and calm. We were warm and comfortable and well taken-care-of. They fed us a lovely dinner and breakfast. They taught us a lot about their community and the history of the island, and gave us helpful maps and ideas of where we could go to explore the island on our own in the afternoon and the next morning.

It's not just an accomodation. You're in for a full island experience. Mario took us for walks around the island and told us all about its people, traditions and history. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The family Celso was very kind. We stayed 2 nights at their place and we learned a lot about their culture. The food was amazing and the location very beautiful.

Very warm welcome from Juana and Celso. Nice and cosy place to stay and chill. Celso will guide you to the best spots of taquile island from Pachamama temple, inca ruins, best sunset spot, to playa. They are great host with big heart. I truly recommend staying with them. They will tell you everything about island history, tradition, and more!
Just remember not taking all your luggage with you ...cause the island is hilly and the hike can be a bit challenging with heavy bags.
