Accommodations in Yanque

We woke up to amazing views every morning. The owner was super kind and even came with us on our tour to el Cruz del Condor. The water was hot and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely a great experience and a great place to base ourselves for gorgeous hikes around Yanque.

The location and helpful staff

The small houses are beautiful with a private outside and inside jacuzzi, staff is very nice and friendly, we were greeted by Americo and our Server David both vey kind and helpful. The food is amazing. There is a fire place in the room to get the full country side experience they will light it up in the evening.

Nice family run hostal, friendly and helpful owners, lovely garden and balcony to relax. Good size room. Very good breakfast. Close to the plaza and trailhead to Uyo Uyo.

We loved the room and the jacuzzi, everything was perfect for what we were looking for, it made our time there very special, the food of the restaurant was great, I'd recommend having more foods to offer though, other than that it was amazing.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was generous and warm. The property is lovely. The setting is gorgeous. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the town square where there are restaurants and shops. The alpaca on the property are so cute. Loved seeing them every day.

The staff was very helpful, and breakfast was very satisfying. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site. The observatory was a great plus. We could easily walk to the town of Yanque.

Our stay at Casa Vivencial Mama Vivi was truly unforgettable. The family was incredibly welcoming, and we had the chance to experience everyday life in the community in a very genuine way. It’s a perfect place to relax, with beautiful nature all around, thermal baths nearby, and plenty of small hikes to enjoy. Our young daughter especially loved helping feed the baby alpacas and joining in the activities with the family. The homemade meals were delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful stay full of cultural experiences and local warmth, this is the perfect choice in the Colca region.

A unique experience into Peruvian farming culture so close to the bustling mass tourism nearby, yet so removed by being on the much, much less visited northern rim of the canyon. Martha, the owner, was a talented cook preparing all the meals from scratch mostly with local products and never grew tired as a trip guide answering all my questions about life in the country, plants and animals.
