Location was just beautiful 😍

We loved the location and the house was perfect for our stay on Flores Island.

I don't often leave reviews, but Casa da Travessa definitely deserves one. We had a fantastic stay here. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It felt more like staying in a real home than in a holiday rental. The host greeted us warmly and even left some local treats and groceries for us, which was such a thoughtful touch after a day of travel. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests We loved the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings. After spending our days exploring the island, it was always nice to come back and relax here Thank you again, José and Graça, for making our visit so special. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Flores

Fabiana went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They've clearly put care and effort into the suite and it is in a stunning location. I would return anytime!

The host was extremely welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed for a great few days on Flores. The space was clean and well kept which made it an easily relaxing vacation spot with amazing views.

Spacious, clean, comfy, well-equipped, close to the grocery shop and café. Good value as well.

This was such a magical place to stay. I think the location is unbeatable. The home is a bit rustic, but that’s part of the charm.

The location can’t be beat! The views are incredible - like nothing I’ve experienced before in my travels! Super quiet and safe. No need to close the curtains! Andrea and Hugo are attentive and accommodating hosts and provide a pristine and new small home on their property for visiting guests.

The view of the waterfall from the patio was a nice surprise! The location and views cannot be beat if you’re looking to stay in Fajã Grande. I would try avoiding a Sunday arrival as everything is closed on the island. Be sure to stop near the airport for groceries the little Mercados nearby have very limited selection for cooking. For restaurants I had two favourites…A esplanade (walking distance from the suite) and Aldeia da Cuada. Be sure to go on as many hikes as possible…the host has two pairs of poles that can be borrowed. Just ask for them.

I loved how cosy and atmospheric the place felt, with beautiful views and charming houses that really match the vibe of the island. The cottage was very comfortable and warm, and the owner was kind and helpful :)

The location was perfect, the host’s hospitality exceptional, and the wine and cheese were a lovely touch. The surroundings were beautiful, and even the Christmas tree added to the charm — absolutely everything was wonderful
