RwandaKinigi Cottage is a hidden gem among the overpriced lodges of the area. We stayed in the second floor room with the huge balcony, and we had amazing views of the volcanoes nearby. The property is walking distance from the Dian Fossey museum and central to all activities in the region. Our kids had a great time playing in the beautiful gardens all around the building, and the indoor and outdoor fires added a great touch of character to our evening. We had a wonderful dinner (extra cost) and an even better breakfast with a full spread of goodies (included). I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone staying in the region. Perfect.

United StatesI loved that it was a women owned eco resort. No plastic water bottles. The staff was wonderful. Helped me beyond belief getting the tour I really wanted with a great guide. Good food and even an espresso machine!!!

We loved the setting - eating breakfast in the outdoors while having all the volcanoes in view. The staff were super friendly and great to chat with. Michael was provided very helpful advice regarding transport and directions, as well as insights into the culture of Rwanda. Since rain was a possibility, they offered the room and tent for us to use as we prefer during our stay. Also very good local food!

The view is really stunning. The staff is polite, friendly and welcoming, doing their best to make your stay perfect and they even try to accommodate for special requests and we did have a lovely chat in the evening. Their food was really good and getting a vegetarian option was never a problem.

Good location just outside of Musanze and 30 mins drive to the Volcanoes National Park visitor centre. Staff were very helpful, rooms nice and quiet, beds comfy and had hot water. We were the only ones staying there that night but the chef made us a nice dinner.

Excellent accommodation, and was kept very clean. The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. They really know how to look after their guests with the extra touches such as cleaning our boots and car - this was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was also good. I will definitely return to stay here next time I'm in the area!

The people working here are awesome! They are so helpful and friendly! The owner, Michael, is also awesome and one of the only Rwandese hotel owners in the area. The views from the premise are also beautiful. Definitely recommend staying here!

We had mixed feelings about our stay here.
The staff are a real credit to Michael the owner. They work hard, we’re very hospitable. The chef produced some lovely vegetarian evening meals. Simple but wholesome. We thank the staff for making our stay so wonderful. The location is incredible just below the volcano with superb views. This also made our stay memorable!
