Accommodations in Jukkasjärvi

Firstly - if you can't live without Wifi, then you'd be best just to stay at home - this is not what Reindeer Lodge is about. If you're after 5 star accommodation, then find somewhere else because staff are not here to be at your personal beck and call. Staff at Reindeer Lodge are amazing - we always felt welcome and part of the family. Our room, although small, was very cosy and clean. To keep the park an authentic experience, there are 2 communal (very clean) toilets, as well as a communal shower and wood fired sauna. When leaving, you are asked to strip your beds fold your bedding and put your bedding and pillows on the lounge to make room turnover quicker for staff. As well as looking after the rooms, staff are also responsible for looking after the reindeer, preparing meals for guests and working at the Saami / Reindeer village at Jukkasjarvi. Staff work long hours and very hard. Breakfast was a really nice Scandinavian style Smorgas, it was great to be able to go in and feed and interact with the reindeer - let them come to you... You can also borrow some cross country skis or snow shoes to go for a walk on the lake. Reindeer Lodge is about a 5-10 minute drive from Jukkasjarvi and a good alternative to the Icehotel. We recommend staying at Reindeer Lodge.

I liked absolutely everything. Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.

My friends and I just enjoyed one of the best experiences of our life with our stay at Camp Caroli. We stayed in family cabin and it was truly perfect. It was spacious, cozy and comfortable. We especially loved sitting in the living room drinking coffee after a cold day outside. Waking up each morning to an amazing view of the snow, the frozen lake, and the raw wilderness was breathtaking! We experienced many great excursions thanks to Amanda who set everything up for us. She was extremely helpful and was always available to answer questions through email or phone. Stefan, our host, was absolutely a super star. He picked us up from the airport, took us grocery shopping, and drove us to all of our excursions which included dog sledding, the ice hotel, and our quest to find the perfect spot to view the northern lights! He was very accommodating for all of our needs during our stay. This was a dream vacation come true for us! Camp Caroli and Stefan made our bucket list dreams come true! Stefan and his wife, Natalie, were an absolute delight. Very helpful and accommodating. And their 11 month old son, Leven, was a joy.

Jessica and Brice are wonderful hosts! I felt right at home at the apartment, which was impeccably clean. It has a very welcoming atmosphere. The bed is very comfortable. There is a big living room area with cozy blankets and lots of candles to light. The bathroom might be on the smaller side for some people but for me it was more than enough. The kitchen is big and well equipped. They provide coffee, different types of teas, oil, vinegear, salt and pepper, tea towel and a sponge and they even provided a plate with snacks like crisps and candy. It is those little touches that made this stay special. Jessica and Brice also organise activities like hunting for Northern Lights, snowmobiling and day trips. They also do pick-up and drop-off from the airport and train station as well as transfers to and from Kiruna. Would definitely recommend staying here and doing a tour with them!

The Ice Hotel is a piece of art. My kids loved the evacuation slide. Getting thermal suits, gloves and boots for the hotel family for our entire stay was a plus. The staff is exceptional, knowledgeable and friendly. We could see the huskies , my kids were not old enough to go on a tour so we skipped it. Grocery store is nearby. Breakfast at the hotel is good. We stayed at the Arctic Chalet, it was a pleasant stay.

This is an absolutely wonderful and unique glass igloos ! The igloos is clean and comfortable. The host is very friendly and always ready to help with any inquiries.

Absolutely amazing location right on the lakeside, at the end of a road. Very comfortable unfolding couch to sleep on -- better (for me at least) than most hotel beds. Clear and timely communication from the host. Great temperature control options (heating & AC) & decent blinds to ward off the early sun in the summer. Built with privacy w.r.t the other lodge on the property in mind. But it is really the genius loci is really what sells this place. If we have a chance to come to the Kiruna area again, we're pretty sure to prefer this place for accommodation. (Oh and if you're here, do check out both the Sámi museum in Jukkasjärvi and the visitor center of the spaceport at Esrange. Both are nice, and even better is the juxtaposition of such distant worlds.)

Wonderfull silent place to see the Aurora from your terrace in front of the lake. We saw it!!! Cozy, clean comfortable cabin with everything you need, better than a hotel. If you need a peacefull place to stay that's the best place for you. Very nice owners. Thank you for the beautifull experience.

The host was extremely kind and responsive. They replied to messages very quickly and provided clear and detailed information about the property. We really appreciated their helpfulness.
