We loved this place and everything about it. The host is lovely—she gave us many recommendations, ensured we knew what trains to take for our outings, gave us small gifts and goodies, offered to help us get laundry washed, and provided flexibility with check in and check out. All this she did with patience and a smile, even though we could not speak Mandarin and had to rely on translation apps. The location is excellent—walking distance to several buses and trains to nearby Jiufen, Shifen Waterfall, Bitoujiao, Keelung, and other great spots. The room itself is quiet, comfortable, and spacious with great lighting. It seems very clean and modern, with nothing out of date and everything functioning perfectly. It is well-appointed and nicely laid out. Guests have access to water, a refrigerator, a tea kettle, coffee, and fast/consistent WiFi. The toiletries and soaps were luxury, and we took note of the shower gel in particular so we can buy it to take home. This place is exceptional value, easy to book and find, and offered us complete privacy and autonomy. The host provided great communication from our initial booking until we said goodbye. Overall we give this hotel our highest recommendation—it was our favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed in on our visit throughout the island. The next time we come to the Taipei area, we will stay here.

This was such a great location to get into Juifen as well as all of the walking and hiking trails in the area. The house had everything, it felt like home! The host was the kindest man, was so extremely helpful with advice, recommendations in the bad weather, and showing me around the area out of pure kindness. What a special stay in Taiwan.

Modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. Great views Easy access to night markets, restaurants and tourist activities. Remember you are in Ruifang - there are steps to everywhere - getting to QIAN XUN MO WEN was an easy climb. We did plenty of exploring using local busses.

It’s an amazing location, close to the old street but just far enough you don’t have the crush of tourists and can enjoy peace and quiet. The vibe of the place is very fun and comfortable. The property owner is amazing and friendly. He truly goes above and beyond in a way I have not seen before, and will make sure you have a great trip!
