It’s a truly beautiful house with charming character and carefully maintained. It is very quiet and facilities are very nice. The bathtub was much needed after a long day of biking. It is also very close to grocery stores.

This is a beautiful traditional Japanese guest house on the island of Yuge. We spent a night here while biking the Shimanami Kaido trail. Yas, our host, was super kind and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea. Nice shower. Towels can be rented for 100 yen and laundry machine use for 100 yen as well. Very comfortable tatami beds. Close to a very good izakaya restaurant for dinner as well!

A 10-minute walk from Matsuyama Shrine in Matsuyama, Yamatoya Honten provides accommodations with access to a hot spring bath, public bath, and open-air bath.

This home was absolutely fantastic. It was clean and minimalist. It was a great home to stay in. There was plenty of space for me and the other guests. We even had a dog with us and there was more than enough space. The house was stocked with everything a family could need to have a comfortable stay. The host was so prompt and friendly as well! They really went above and beyond in communication.

The Nine Kings was our favourite accommodation on our recent trip to Japan. The room, house, and grounds were all beautiful: spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. Hiroshi and the host family’s kindness went above and beyond, making us feel like family from the moment we arrived. After a cold, rain-soaked day on the Shimanami Kaido, their hospitality was especially appreciated. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.
