The pool and spa and comfy bed were just what we needed after a long drive. The kangaroos grazing on the lawn was great to watch.

This motel ticked all the boxes for a one night stopover. Friendly staff met our request quickly. The room was spacious with the usual facilities including a large en-suite.Inspite of it being a busy weekend there was no problem with noise. The rate was lower than what we had paid for other motels offering less services.

Tocumwal is a nice relaxed town.
Tocumwal is a nice relaxed town. Great pubs, we got shuttle buses there and then back to the motel which makes it really easy if you want to have a beer or 2. Lots of yum places to eat, breaky pizza at the old bank is not to be missed. They had a great market on when we were there, lots of stalls, great variety of things to buy. I will definitely be going back to Tocumwal

This small country town was lovely and there were plenty of tourist sites around the area to visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find all the facilities in the town that there were. A few of our frineds tried the trip on the river paddle steamer and loved it. The roads are good and accessable. There is also a RACV park on the outskirts of the town that has cabins and sites for caravans. They have a big beach where you can hire stand up paddle boards or kayaks.

Further to my previous review and reading others reminded me about a few things. On arrival there was a terrible smell in the bathroom that came and went during our stay. Apparently caused by the drains. I requested that some drain cleaner be used.
The carpet might not have been dirty but certainly very stained. There was a broken leg on one of the beds and the freezer needed defrosting.
However we would still recommend this Motel to others as overall it was pretty good and the location good.

I stayed at the Colonial Motel for 5 nights whilst viewing several homes with the prospect of buying and settling to Cobram.
Naturally I got out and about visiting local businesses and deliberately talking to people about Cobram the town, it’s lifestyle offerings, medical services and it’s residence. Not a negative thing was uncovered and the locals I encounter from several different businesses and venues were all the genuine friendly and helpful country type.
I actually purchased a home in the Green Pal s Lifestyle Village and am so looking forward to returning to the Murray River and now Cobram after escaping Covid and spending 4 years in WA.
My choice of staying in the Colonial Motel was such a great choice as I just kept booking the next night till after 5 nights I’d achieved all I needed to in buying my new home.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room so we’ll supplied with essentials for my stay.
Bright, modern, clean and airy.
So quiet thus great nights sleep.
I’d recommend on all levels as a great stay whilst in Cobram.

Great little town, highly recommend the Bullanginya Dreaming light installation and the Sporties for a family friendly meal experience. Lots to do in the area if you're prepared to travel anywhere from 10 - 45 mins away. We'll be back in the warmer months to do all the things we didn't get time for this trip.

My son and I travelled to Tocumwal to spend time with my parents for Christmas, we really like Tocumwal the most annoying thing is when it is in peak holiday seasons which we have stayed many times, it is extremely difficult to get internet service.

Cobram is so sweet, we decided to move up and are building at this stage. It has the Country feel with all the amenities of a large city without impeding on the Country feel. Local pub had excellent food and staff all remembered us from our previous stay 5 months ago. This trip was to arrange the house and Better Electrical couldn't have been more accommodating, same as Dollar Blinds etc. We were able to arrange all our new furniture, flooring, blinds with ease and help of the staff at the various place. The bakery was partners favourite breakfast location. We have been to Thompsons beach on previous occasions and it is beautiful, but the mosquitos leave a lot to be desired. The whole area is just a short drive to other places to be explored
