Plenty of free parking. Unfortunately for us the Club and Fitness centre lost power during our visit. We didnt have access to the pool during our stay. Power was reconnected at 5pm so at least we were able to enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

Nothing, it was outstanding from check in to check out. The spa upstairs on the rooftop is fabulous. My suite was exceptionally clean and modern. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our two days in the Blue Mountains unfortunately fell victim to the Northeaster coming in - visibility was less than 100m, sometimes even the other side of the street seemed foggy and it rained cats and dogs. So we were very happy about this cozy hotel! It is historic and well-preserved (but of course with all modern amenities you need in the rooms). Fun to explore the different rooms, there's a nice bar and somewhere they have hidden away a brewery it seems. Oh, and the dining room... Great - had a good breakfast there (we had enjoyed dinner in the other brewery in town). The room was a bit smaller than expected, but for one night it was ok. It was quiet and we slept very well. There is a new parking garage next to the hotel - only disadvantage is, that you are exposed to the elements when you walk over there.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The complimentary upgrade was such a wonderful surprise and set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The staff were absolutely incredible, and genuinely committed to making our experience perfect. The hotel itself is stunning; the fit-out is immaculate. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. The beds were super comfy, and buffet breakfast was faultless. A wide selection of fresh, delicious options that catered to every taste. We left feeling completely pampered and already planning our return. If you’re looking for luxury, exceptional service, and an experience that exceeds expectations, this is the place to stay!

Sydney has so much to offer.

Sydney has so much to offer. We visited the CBD and Circular Quay and took a ferry to the very historical island Cockatoo Island where ships were repaired in WW2 and did a tour of the Opera House which was wonderful. The Public transport system is easy to use with helpful 'Information people' wherever you go to assist you. We used Trip Planner NSW to guide us as well.

Jindabyne is a four-season playground for active families

Jindabyne is a four-season playground for active families We are a family who cannot sit still, and Jindabyne delivered on every front. Summer or winter, this town keeps everyone moving. In the warmer months the mountain biking is world class. Thredbo is a short drive away, and the bike park has trails for every level. Our youngest built confidence on the flow trails while the older kids chased the descents. Closer to town, the lakeside tracks around Lake Jindabyne are perfect for a relaxed family spin. Come winter it flips into snow mode. Jindabyne is the gateway to Thredbo and Perisher, so snowboarding is right on your doorstep. The Ski Tube makes getting up the mountain easy, even with kids and gear in tow. The dining scene punched well above its size. We ate our way around town, from casual lakeside feeds to proper sit down dinners. Hungry teenagers, fussy little ones, tired parents craving a wine: everyone left happy. Between the action we loved exploring. Lake Jindabyne is stunning for a swim, a paddle, or a lazy afternoon by the water. Kosciuszko National Park is on the doorstep for walks and wildlife. All in all, Jindabyne is a rare spot where the whole family gets their fix. Ride hard, board harder, eat well, explore endlessly. We are already planning the next trip.

We had 1 week in Newcastle, recommendations - Fighter World, if you have the time on a weekend, book the simulator. We drove to Seal Rocks, Hawks Nest, Port Stephens Dolphin boat cruise. Catherine Hill Bay, Caves Beach, 8 at Trinity for a nice meal. Attended beginner friendly Yoga Paws with 6 Dachshund puppies. The Albion Hotel ended up being our go too, with great food and friendly faces, Tuesday night special is Rump with Music Bingo so much fun. True Crime Walking Tour so much history in this town. A quick dip in Bogey Hole is a must, Australia's oldest purpose-built ocean pool, dating back to 1819, cut out by hand by convicts. Koala Hospital and Sanctuary was also very informative. Tower Cinemas for a wet day timetable.

Great place and saw it from an electric bike and an electric car. Put your car away. The only down side is the car park next to the beach which feels sadly old world American, whereas the rest of the town is great. We must work on getting car free town centres in Australia.

For a truly excellent dining experience in Coffs Harbour try Bistro Vue at 384B Harbour Drive. We stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant whilst stopping overnight in Coffs. The food is exceptional, the waitstaff knowledgable, attentive and friendly and the wine list and beverage offering just right. The menu is seasonal but if you are lucky the creme brûlée will still be on the dessert menu. The rock oysters for entree and steak for main with Brussels sprouts side were both flawless. We were able to sit outside with our small dog but the internal fitout of the restaurant was gorgeous. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We shall return!

We had an amazing three-day family getaway in Pokolbin, and it exceeded all of our expectations. There was something for everyone—from go-karting, horse riding, aqua golf, and farm animal encounters to Hunter Valley Gardens, a breathtaking hot air balloon ride at sunrise, the chocolate factory, and even family-friendly wine tasting for the kids. The food was another highlight. We enjoyed delicious wood-fired pizza and discovered an incredible dessert bar that was honestly even better than many of the famous dessert places we've visited in Sydney. Everything was within a short drive, there were plenty of great restaurants, and the beautiful scenery made the whole trip even more special. The best part? Both of my kids said this was their best holiday of 2026 so far, and I couldn't agree more. Pokolbin is a hidden gem and a perfect destination for families looking to create unforgettable memories. We can't wait to come back!

The accommodation was great after a long drive, and it was really good to come to the Kinross Inn with a warm room on a freezing night. In the morning we left a bit later than planned due to the fog and very heavy frost, our room was warm and having the car under shelter also made it much easier for driving rather than scraping frost of the windows and windscreen.

Wagga is a great place to visit. It has an excellent range of shops, cafes restaurants and pubs. There are lots of things to do, including visiting the National Glass Gallery, the RAAF Museum, Botanic Gardens, Wollundry Nature Walk and Railway Nyseum. A bit further afield is the Junee Licorice Factory and at Coolamon, the Cheese Co. Both these places offer tours as well as food to eat. Well worth a visit.
