"Moss Vale is a beautiful country town. The whole area surrounding Moss Vale is a great area to visit. My problem was with Dormie house. I couldn't believe that I had paid $165 for the night in such a dingy, dismal place. The place resembled a funeral home rather than a hotel type of accommodation. It was cold, dark and miserable and when I say cold, I mean freezing cold. There was a radiator in the room but if you stood more than 10mm away from it you would not know it was turned on. It did nothing in the way of warming the room. We put 2 extra blankets on the bed, and we were still cold all night long."

TaiwanRoom is clean and spacious, lighting is well done. Overall vibe is good. Staff is super nice and gave us free room upgrade and late checkout on a weekday - I can tell in hotel's underground parking lot that it's not busy.
In the morning, I saw a young staff wiping/cleaning a section of the common area with a smile - the place is well taken care of. I enjoyed it very much.
We did kayak tour nearby and this is a wonderful place to stay, will visit again.

The king bed was very comfortable, but we would have liked a choice for a slightly higher pillow - the pillows were ok, but a little thinner for our liking. Coffee and tea facilities were standard with tea bags, hot chocolate and moccona coffee sachets, but would have preferred coffee bags or pod coffee - but again that’s a personal; preference not a great criticism. Shower and bathroom was great. Springs is close to shops (supermarkets, cafes and Maccas is right behind the Motel) and the Mittagong RSL is right on site for breakfasts and dinners etc, so great location. Overall a great experience above expectations

AustraliaLink House is set in the most wonderful gardens minutes out of Bowral. Our room (the Heritage Suite) was beautifully appointed, spacious and comfortable. The bed was seriously comfortable and the bathroom clean with all amenities.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We also dined at their restaurant, Ethos, which was a excellent - both the food and ambiance. Can't wait to return for a longer stay next time.

Absolutely obsessed with this gorgeous little hotel - renovated with modern facilities, it still maintains its classic charm and is run by the most lovely team of people. The view across the golf course is lovely and the location conveniently right near a supermarket while still being secluded.

The gateway to the Southern Highlands and an ideal town to use as a base for exploring the region. Well served by pubs and restaurants as well as boutique shops and major supermarkets. Recommended places to eat are The Mittagong Hotel ( standard pub fare plus some dishes which are a cut above if you want something a bit extra - e.g. 800gm Bistecca) and Mittagong RSL. Go to the Gumnut Bakery in Mittagong itself to get cakes and pastries freshly baked and avoid the crowds at Bowral and Berrima.

We drove through Bundanoon and stopped for a nice coffee but...
We drove through Bundanoon and stopped for a nice coffee but didn't have time to explore the town much as we were in the highlands for a wedding. It's such a beautiful area and we'd love to return to explore more. We visited Fitzroy Falls and would like to return to do some of the amazing walks when we have more time.

Quaint, clean, and up and coming settlement....you can see the town is proactive in it's direction. Excellent amenities and location in the Southern Highlands. Enjoyed the shopping, pubs, cafes, and parks. One hour to coast with beautiful drives. Would come again.

Berrima was surprisingly quiet especially when compared to nearby Bowral. For instance, on a Sunday morning some of the cafes remained shut. The Pub is a great place for a meal and there were lots of cafes to have breakfast and coffee. We visited a local winery Artemis, about 10 minutes away and had a beautiful Pizza and Wine for lunch.
For a quiet break from Sydney it was perfect.

Robertson is a small, interesting town.
Robertson is a small, interesting town. There are a few galleries to peruse. The Public House and Kitchen is ideal for dinner, but booking is advised. We also had dinner at the lovely old Robertson Hotel, which is just out of town amid the forest. Meals there were outstanding.
Driving any of the roads in the area is very pleasant. We visited the lovely Fitzroy Falls and Info Centre, and also Carrington Falls which were also spectacular.

Love the relaxing and comfortable ambience of the accommodation and the surrounding gardens - quiet spots to sit and enjoy the wildlife and a glass of wine. The garden areas were natural, not manicured. If you're looking for a resort style stay this is not the place but they are not trying to be. Our room was rustic, comfortable (bed, linen, couches...) relaxing and clean with thoughtful touches, bottled water, chocolates and a wide selection of teas. Loved that the windows could open to let in fresh air. Having a cafe on site for breakfast and lunch was so convenient. Had breakfast here twice and all choices were tasty. We look forward to returning to recharge again in the future!

It's well worth the while to take the walk down to the falls...
It's well worth the while to take the walk down to the falls and the Grotto. Absolutely stunning scenery and such a great walk. It's a short drive into Bowral/Mittagong too so you can easily go to the movies if it's raining or just snuggle up next to a log fire and read a book etc. Soooooo relaxing. We absolutely loved it.

Beautiful stay: Stunning scenery perfect to disconnect, spotless rooms, caring team, amazing food, spa and swimming pool (check seasons), fire pit, 6 kms of walking trails. Canyonleigh Retreat is a dream escape, a true gem!

Marulan is an interesting little historic village about...
Marulan is an interesting little historic village about 30kms from Goulburn. There are a number of quaint little stone buildings with information boards about their history and current use. We ate both lunch on Saturday and dinner on Sunday night at The Terminus Hotel, food quite good and open wood fire a real bonus!
We met a few of the locals and they are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Marulan is probably not somewhere I would have considered visiting, but my husband and I were attending a motorcycle course at the local Pheasant Wood Circuit and were pleasantly surprised by what a cute and interesting little place it is. Well worth a look if you're travelling between Sydney and Goulburn and want a meal of cup of coffee.
