The wombat king 5-dollar is an amusing touch. Good barista/cafe drink for morning, and the homemade soap & shampoo are fragrant.

Jindabyne is a four-season playground for active families

Jindabyne is a four-season playground for active families We are a family who cannot sit still, and Jindabyne delivered on every front. Summer or winter, this town keeps everyone moving. In the warmer months the mountain biking is world class. Thredbo is a short drive away, and the bike park has trails for every level. Our youngest built confidence on the flow trails while the older kids chased the descents. Closer to town, the lakeside tracks around Lake Jindabyne are perfect for a relaxed family spin. Come winter it flips into snow mode. Jindabyne is the gateway to Thredbo and Perisher, so snowboarding is right on your doorstep. The Ski Tube makes getting up the mountain easy, even with kids and gear in tow. The dining scene punched well above its size. We ate our way around town, from casual lakeside feeds to proper sit down dinners. Hungry teenagers, fussy little ones, tired parents craving a wine: everyone left happy. Between the action we loved exploring. Lake Jindabyne is stunning for a swim, a paddle, or a lazy afternoon by the water. Kosciuszko National Park is on the doorstep for walks and wildlife. All in all, Jindabyne is a rare spot where the whole family gets their fix. Ride hard, board harder, eat well, explore endlessly. We are already planning the next trip.

Jindabyne is a very busy, welcoming place in school holidays. The vibe is very much upbeat. Sometimes a bit difficult to get a park but thats what you get when you go to a popular country town looking for winter adventures

Jindabyne is a very small town consider it's location, but...

Jindabyne is a very small town consider it's location, but very pupular given it's Alpine location. The place has a few of good selection of the restaurant that is quite good. Bacco Italian is fantastic with yummy Italian, i enjoy the Veal with mushroom sauce the most. Another surprise is I found a very authentic Chinese Hotpot restaurant Snowy Panda Hot Pot, Not to mention the newly open Korean Restaurant at the major Shopping centre next to the Base Ski Hire. Skitube Station is close to Jindabyne, it takes only 20-25 mins drive to Bullock Flat. This is so convenient for the traveller that they do not have 4WD or confident driving in Alpine condition.

Living in Sydney, this was my first visit to Jindabyne, and...

Living in Sydney, this was my first visit to Jindabyne, and I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and peaceful it is. Being the gateway to Australia's highest mountain and surrounded by national parks, the town is exceptionally clean, well-organised, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. The first thing I noticed was the fresh, crisp air, which felt very different from Sydney. The skies seemed bluer, the atmosphere was calmer, and the beautiful lake in the middle of town created a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax and unwind. Jindabyne is the perfect destination for anyone looking to escape the city and reconnect with nature. If you're staying for 3–4 days, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding mountains and national parks. The drive to Mount Kosciuszko was particularly spectacular, with breathtaking scenery along the way.

Jindabyne used to be great to get a quick takeaway but this trip I really noticed the difference and not it a good way! there is now no takeaway chinese restaurant, only 2 pizza places with a 45 minute wait for a take away pizza and an Indian Restaurant. Worse still I had to park my car miles away from anywhere that sold food and walk along poorly lit uneven footpaths in the dark to get to the shops. Also what happened to the trailer parking spaces? Gone! My pizza was cold by the time I was able to eat it. All in all, a miserable experience after a long trip from Sydney on a cold night (+2 Celcius). Jindabyne needs more takeaway food stores in winter!!!

Our stay in Jindabyne was absolutely wonderful. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The apartment made our experience even more comfortable — it was neat, clean, and very well-maintained. The bed was extremely comfy, which made it easy to rest after a long day. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, just like home, which made cooking so convenient. Every little detail in the apartment added to the comfort of our stay. Overall, it was a great experience. The combination of a beautiful location and a cozy, well-prepared apartment made our trip truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this place — it’s great value for money and a perfect option for a comfortable stay. We would definitely love to stay here again.
