Literally 2min walk from the airport. Capsules are extremely comfortable, such as the shower area. They provide us with shampoo, soap, towels, blow dryer. Had an amazing and quiet night of sleep.

Very comfortable room, had all I needed for an overnight stay after a very exhausting trip and another flight the day after. Had amazing sleep and felt recharged the next morning. Breakfast was great with plenty of vegan options and lovely staff.

Zurich Airport (ZRH) Information

Location and Transport

As the largest international airport in Switzerland and the main hub of Swiss International Air, Zürich Airport sees around 28 million passengers pass through its gates every year. It is located 8 miles (13 kilometres) north of central Zürich, close to the municipalities of Kloten, Rümlang and Obfikon. The easiest way to access the airport is by train, with a frequent Zürich S-Bahn service, as well as direct InterRegio, InterCity and Eurocity links. There are 13 trains an hour to Zürich Hauptbahnhof, Zürich's central train station.

Nearby Hotels and Airport Facilities

Travellers with scheduled stopovers or unexpected delays can find accommodation in Zürich Airport or in nearby towns like Kloten and Obfikon. Some hotels provide a shuttle service to/from the main terminal. Before takeoff, you can pass the time by shopping for souvenirs in duty free, relaxing in VIP lounges or watching jumbo jets taxi down the runways from the outdoor observation deck. Great hotel, modern, clean, very quiet.

Great hotel, modern, clean, very quiet. Very comfortable beds. Great staff very helpful, caring about our needs. Hotel very close to the airport (5 minutes by shuttle), in a quiet neighborhood with many choices for great restaurants. We had dinner at Restaurant 66 (Holbergstrasse 1), not very far from the hotel, which was great.

The hotel location in Glattbrugg was excellent for our needs...

The hotel location in Glattbrugg was excellent for our needs with a ca.24hr flight transfer. Novotel is very close to the tram stop - only 8minutes from the airport. It is also only 25minutes to the city centre which makes it practical for exploring the city also. It is easy and reasonable to buy a 24hr transport ticket for the Zones 121 (airport area) + 110 (city area) which allows you to hop on and off. Our visit day was VERY hot, and the family (kids 9 + 12) enjoyed the cool and interest of the University Natural History Museum, which was also free. There was a beautiful court garden on the way down to the city. It was easy to navigate the pretty streets on foot - lots of lovely shops and cafes. The lakeside was fabulous, and especially a swim at the city bathing wharf - well worth the 8chf - where even a towel could be hired! We enjoyed city sights and good food including 'Fondue' at the famous [Adler's Swiss Chuchi] (worth the wait of ca.1hr to sit outside on a very hot evening). After a shortish night - due to enjoying the city - were able to take the first early tram, in good time for our early morning flight. We plan to go back for longer next time. Highly recommended.

My wife and I would have loved to enjoy Zurich but we only...

My wife and I would have loved to enjoy Zurich but we only used the airport for arrival and departure. We rented a car to enjoy Switzerland and I can tell you that the roads were nice and well documented. We also found the airport to be efficient and the staff very friendly.

My main thing was the location.

My main thing was the location. From Rumlang transportation was easy.Besutifully easy..10 mins bus ride to The airport - fantastic. Also a 30 sec walk to Zurich HB Next time with more time Ill explore Rumlang .

Very convenient to visit Zurich (10 mins to the main station...

Very convenient to visit Zurich (10 mins to the main station by train and trains and 15 mins to Zurich airport by bus/tram). All public means of transport are on-time, reliable, and very often. Shops, restaurants, bakeries - all within a walking distance.

I was only there one night in preparation for my flight home...

I was only there one night in preparation for my flight home, so I did not get into the town at all. My rating is low because the hotel did not meet my expectations. The location, however, was excellent for the purpose of being close to the airport departure area.

Our stay at this accommodation was extremely disappointing!

Our stay at this accommodation was extremely disappointing! From the outset, the check-in process was unnecessarily complicated. There was no reception, and to access the room we first had to download an app. We then had to complete a Google Form before receiving the code for the main entrance. Unfortunately, the room itself did not meet basic cleanliness standards. There were human hairs in several places, and despite being advertised as a non-smoking room, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The most serious issue, however, was a bee nest located directly above the bedroom window. There were bees inside the bedroom even though we never opened the window! As we did not feel safe staying there, we had no choice but to leave the accommodation. This happened at around 10:00 p.m., making it particularly stressful and inconvenient to find an alternative place to stay at such a late hour. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we do not believe the accommodation met reasonable standards of cleanliness, safety, or guest comfort. calling the number listed on the page of the accommodation, they were not helpful, they provided a fake email address and told me to send the videos and photos there, absolute disgrace, AVOID at all costs!

This is a great location if you want to be close to Zurich...

This is a great location if you want to be close to Zurich airport, and also not part of the bustle of Zurich itself. The train system is very efficient, and our hotel provided an airport shuttle. I would have liked more time to explore Rumlang, however for this particular trip it was a great choice for our quick two nights, and provided quick access to both Zurich and the airport.

Wallisellen is a very good destination if you want visit...

Wallisellen is a very good destination if you want visit Zurich and don´t want to pay for an expensive hotel in center. The connections to the city are very good. The train comes every few minutes. Also the restaurants there are cheaper than in Zurich but the same quality.

It is the perfect place, if you have a rental car,

It is the perfect place, if you have a rental car, Which you have the return the following day and plan to stay near the airport. Hotel Leonard was perfect. Fast and easy check in and check out and very friendly staff. good restaurants within walking distance. The old tavern restaurant within 5 min walk is very recommendable.
