Doors opened with a digital key on our phone - worked great! Apartment was large and beautiful. Loved the big and beautiful bathroom and the bed was amazing. Nice big and open living room/kitchen and lots of windows. Parking underneath the building. Area has many hotels and shops and the trams stop right on the corner of the street.

Upon entering, I was met by Sanja l, the receptionist who booked me in and was very pleasant. Up to the 4th floor to my room in a tiny elevator with my golf clubs and backpack. My room is comfortable with a large bed and all the amenities you could possibly need for a 3 day trip. Downstairs in the restaurant, I was met by Adriana, who served me my food and drinks. The next night, there was Alpha serving. Great hotel. I will be back for my last night in Zurich.

The hotel location in Glattbrugg was excellent for our needs...

The hotel location in Glattbrugg was excellent for our needs with a ca.24hr flight transfer. Novotel is very close to the tram stop - only 8minutes from the airport. It is also only 25minutes to the city centre which makes it practical for exploring the city also. It is easy and reasonable to buy a 24hr transport ticket for the Zones 121 (airport area) + 110 (city area) which allows you to hop on and off. Our visit day was VERY hot, and the family (kids 9 + 12) enjoyed the cool and interest of the University Natural History Museum, which was also free. There was a beautiful court garden on the way down to the city. It was easy to navigate the pretty streets on foot - lots of lovely shops and cafes. The lakeside was fabulous, and especially a swim at the city bathing wharf - well worth the 8chf - where even a towel could be hired! We enjoyed city sights and good food including 'Fondue' at the famous [Adler's Swiss Chuchi] (worth the wait of ca.1hr to sit outside on a very hot evening). After a shortish night - due to enjoying the city - were able to take the first early tram, in good time for our early morning flight. We plan to go back for longer next time. Highly recommended.

Our stay at this accommodation was extremely disappointing!

Our stay at this accommodation was extremely disappointing! From the outset, the check-in process was unnecessarily complicated. There was no reception, and to access the room we first had to download an app. We then had to complete a Google Form before receiving the code for the main entrance. Unfortunately, the room itself did not meet basic cleanliness standards. There were human hairs in several places, and despite being advertised as a non-smoking room, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The most serious issue, however, was a bee nest located directly above the bedroom window. There were bees inside the bedroom even though we never opened the window! As we did not feel safe staying there, we had no choice but to leave the accommodation. This happened at around 10:00 p.m., making it particularly stressful and inconvenient to find an alternative place to stay at such a late hour. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we do not believe the accommodation met reasonable standards of cleanliness, safety, or guest comfort. calling the number listed on the page of the accommodation, they were not helpful, they provided a fake email address and told me to send the videos and photos there, absolute disgrace, AVOID at all costs!

It can be practical if you have an early flight.

It can be practical if you have an early flight. There are good tram connections with the airport. However it has busy roads and while you technically can move around there, it is clearly not designed for walking around. Some parts of it are not as close to the airport as they seem. Next time I'll pick something closer. The accommodation which I had picked (Belmont Residences in Opfikon) was unreliable and as far as they were concerned, I could have never even gotten access to my room. It was a nerve-racking experience.

The hotel is very close to the airport. Zurich is very expensive, so a budget hotel is great for overnight. Tram 10 takes you to the airport in two stops and the city centre in about 1/2 hour. For aviation lovers, Runway 34 Restaurant, is a unique (if expensive) experience about 10 minutes walk from Ibis Budget Zurich Airport Hotel

I do not normally give a bad review of a property but this Hotel has some issues that need addressed. Lots of construction around the Movenpick Hotel. Very noisy. They did provide pickup and drop-off at the airports. The food was not very good and either restaurant. There was food debris all over the floor of both restaurants. We were at this hotel for two nights and the floors in the eating areas were never swept. Their was a bad odor in the check in area every day...like sewer..? Both of us had the hamburger from the bar service and both of the sandwiches were undercooked. Both sandwiches had a bad flavor of maybe poor quality beef.. The lighting the our room was poor as several lamps had very very low wattage going to them so it was hard to see.

Hotel shuttle bus is very convenient, run frequently in the morning and late afternoon. Only 5 mins to the airport. Train/tram stop for Zurich was close to the hotel.
