2 minutes from the airport which is very handy. You can watch planes land and take off. The planes do quiet down around 9:30pm. It is very close to some beaches to hang out at and there are some restaurants close by. The place is clean and it;s great for making a quick transition to the airport. Depnding on the taxi driver it can be a bit of a challenge to find. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful as well.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past four years. Location close to the airport is great. Buseta and taxi access on the troncal along with moto taxis out front. The rooms are always clean and have air conditioning and ceiling fans. Beds are comfortable, and the staff is always attentive.

After submitting my review, they called me to screaming and accusing me for submitting my experience and how I felt inside and surroundings. In addition, they judged me since I felt unsafe and how bad person am I. I am not recommending this place ever.

Little ecological town in the mountains above Santa Marta...

Little ecological town in the mountains above Santa Marta with so much things to see! You can visit waterfalls of the mountain river, go to coffee and cacao tour at the top of the hills and find some interesting retreat places. Big recommendation for anyone who likes nature and places with calm and chill vibe. The ways of getting around Minca is mostly hiking or Moto taxi and both are kind of great experience.

Cianaga seems to have a beautiful location near the beach...

Cianaga seems to have a beautiful location near the beach and with views of the mountains. We went to a great restaurant called El Turisto Sadly, The city is very, very dirty with trash everywhere. The motorbikes and cats and dogs running freely also make the city less attractive. It has great potential!

Good place to be the homebase for sightseeing and adventure (e.g. lost city, Palomino) while combined with nice beaches. Old town and harbour area is nice, great boot trips to surrounding beaches worth considerung.

3 nights was perfect - walk to waterfalls, wal to town, coffee tours and birdwatching tours available. A little haven of a town and be sure to visit Taco y Chela Minca for the best tacos, guac, and mojitos run by a kind local family.

Santa Marta is lit bit away from my expectation,...

Santa Marta is lit bit away from my expectation, Unfortunately all city calles, beaches, sea is full trash and lot of homeless people , construction just behind beach totally dust, horrible smell, very laud music almost every restaurant bar stores who wants relax and looking for clean place this is not right place. Santa Marta has very beautiful natural area but people make dirty and ugly and Goberna de Magdelena do not care at all. City is going to be disaster place in the future if they are not reaction.

It’s a nice little town with a bunch of activities and...

It’s a nice little town with a bunch of activities and places to go and explore, you will also find a lot of interesting characters between the locals and other foreigners that live there, it’s worth of it if you wanna discover more of the northern culture of Colombia and the beautiful spots this area offer.

I loved the atmosphere in the town center in the evening, and the geographical and ecosystemic interest of the area, such as the cienagas. The friendly taxis and mototaxis. The general interest for preserving the city clean and protecting the nature.
