One of my best stays in San José. The area has parks, restaurants for every budget, and some nice bars nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and always smiling - they really made the experience memorable.

Absolutely everything about this place was amazing! The breakfasts is included and it's fantastic, the staff is very kind and helpful, the entire house is very clean and greatly decorated, the rooms are beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable. They have security guards in the street so your vehicle will be safe parked in front of the house. It's very close to amazing restaurants and the area overall is safe to walk around. Highly recommend.

Nice, clean property with courteous staff. Garage parking was greatly appreciated as well as the delicious included breakfast. Bathroom in the private room was large and had great water pressure and hot water. I also appreciated little touches like a clothes line in the bathroom, storage hooks, and a really good fan in the bedroom.

I had an early-morning appointment at the US Embassy, and found this great, inexpensive and perfect little BnB only a 10 minute walk away. The staff were great, the rooms are simple but clean with nice furnishings. Several nice restaurants within walking distance as well. I highly recommend EcoStudio.

Escazu is a lovely suburb of San Jose and I go there to see my dentist (Go NOVA Dental CR!) -- it's a huge center for dental tourism. Otherwise there are many more compelling places to visit in CR.

Heredia is not my favorite place in Costa Rica.

Heredia is not my favorite place in Costa Rica. It is too busy, very confusing, and somewhat anxiety producing. I was there for eye surgery, so it was necessary this time, but it is not a place that I tend to frequent while in Costa Rica.

This property is stunning, very clean, peaceful, with an amazing view and a hot tub. There is a small fridge and microwave, so stock up on food before you go. The road is very steep to get up to the accommodation.

San Antonio itself is a great base to travel from, it is close to Airport and to Car rentals, there are Supermarkets nearby also if self catering, however it is a little too far from other central attentions if your intension is to stay in San Jose itself.

Great town with both local and national branded restaurants, banks, grocery stores and "Mom and Pop" shops. There is a very small restaurant in Santo Domingo called Soda el Paso. They have the BEST carne en salsa, gallo pinto, huevos fritos, pan y natilla, y cafe con leche in all of Costa Rica! :-)

We visited Escazu to shop for our new house in Costa Rica and it's a great base for this purpose. There are also good restaurants and bars downtown for the evenings. We felt safe and comfortable walking around at night.

I was there for a medical appointment, and only stayed two days. Having lived in Costa Rica for 6 years prior to this, I knew what to expect. I did, however, get to visit the Oxygen Mall for the first time, which is an amazing experience, and I did find a stuffed capybara to bring back for a friend.

Vista Canyon Inns was highly recommended by my Doctor and they did not disappoint me. Mr. Dr. and the hospital were minutes away and the hotel arranged all my transportation. Great restaurants of all varieties and prices were within a short ride or UBER Eats. Loved this part of the Central Valley. The mall is huge but, very expensive. Much better than staying in SAN JOSE.

Cute little town near the airport.

Cute little town near the airport. Probably not a destination, but, if you have a night to kill before flying out, it's fine. Otherwise, there isn't anything I know of to draw visitors. Couple cute restaurants on the main street. Felt safe walking around after dark.
