We liked how big the property is. We always found chairs by the beach which was perfect for us. Loved the food and the speciality restaurants and the staff was so so nice.

We had an amazing time at katlantiK Beach house. The place was super spacious, clean, with great views of the beach. It had everything we needed! Our host Jose was super helpful and facilitated all our requests. Highly recommended

Rabil itself is nothing special - but that's completely...

Rabil itself is nothing special - but that's completely beside the point as you will never go there - it is just the name of a small town close to the airport serving Boa Vista, Cape Verde. The actual jewel is Praia de Chaves which is close to Rabil (about 5 mins drive) - and this beach is as close as you will ever get to paradise. There are some lovely villas available to rent on the beach and an excellent beach bar.

Amazing off grid setting.

Amazing off grid setting. Wonderful friendly staff and superb food. Early morning tea facilities bedorec8am would be nice! Beds are made of concrete, literally, so better mattresses would be a good idea!

It is not a very nice place to be or stay, it is a very...

It is not a very nice place to be or stay, it is a very deprived and impoverished area and is very reminiscent of a warzone with how derelict everything is. I enjoyed the food I had from the places I ate out at but that is all I can say was a positive regarding the area I was staying in. I was sold on Cape Verde being a dream holiday getaway with the allure of Boa Vista being an exotic and adventurous place to go, but I was ultimately disappointed and didn't really enjoy what I found and experienced when I got there. The weather was a let down and it was very windy all the time so that made it impossible to sunbath and enjoy any of the beaches as you were constantly blasted by sand, and the sea was always rough and cold so going in for a swim or even a paddle was always off the table too. I'd say Cape Verde overall is an overhyped and overrated destination that is pushed by the tourist industry to generate money but is not worthy of the level of appeal it is given. I have had better and happier holidays at home and I would certainly say you could pick plenty of other holiday destinations across the world that would be significantly more enjoyable and would provide a much more pleasant experience than Cape Verde, therefore I would not recommend anyone even contemplate visiting here.

Beaches and beach bars are nice but it is windy so not suitable for everyone unless into windsports. Water shoes recommended as rocks in the water. Some nice restaurants but you will probably repeat over 2 weeks.
