It is a super big apartment and everything is there what is needed. As it has two different entrances and cameras at the entrance it also feels very safe. I really liked the neighbourhood. On the same street as the apartment you could find a restaurant with daily healthy local dishes for really good prices and also take away. Moreover there was a mini market right next to the apartment with really friendly staff. For taxis I would recommend saying

I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my stay in Cape Verde. The host was incredibly helpful, attentive, and highly professional, making me feel welcome from the very first moment. The apart-hotel was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was their convenient car rental service, which made exploring Santiago Island so much easier and more enjoyable. From the beautiful landscapes to the vibrant local culture, everything was within reach. I also recommend this place to other visitors, especially as it’s located very close to Praia Airport — making arrivals and departures quick and stress-free. I truly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cape Verde — it’s the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and excellent hospitality.

It’s very near to the city Center, very cozy and spacious house. Nilton is an awesome host, always available to help, the guy waited me on the port at 4 in the morning and brought me to the house and took me to the airport at 6 in the morning. Thanks for everything, Nilton. Netflix, Globoplay and many tv channels are available.

Praia has a historic city part, the "Plateau", which is nice...

Praia has a historic city part, the "Plateau", which is nice. But the beaches are very small. If you are looking for beaches you should go to other locations, not to Praia. The island is like a desert. There are no coconut palms like in Brasil. The lack of rain is very notable. Everything is dry. Taxis are expensive (always $15 US)

We had the best food of our entire stay here! Amazing fish at dinner, and breakfast with fresh fruit grown on the premises, passion fruit, banana and baobab, and delicious baobab juice. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating. The location is amazing, and perfectly situated as a stop off in amongst the mountains between Tarrafal and Praia, with a crisp clean pool to refresh from heat. Comfy beds, and no extra charge for my daughter staying along with me in an additional fold out bed.

Plateau is the historic city center, where you can see and...

Plateau is the historic city center, where you can see and eat local food. Try and eat the beyond the known national dish Cachupa like the snacks Buzios or Moreia, iced snacks freskinha tambarina or freskinha calabacera are also very good. Can have a great experience with Live local music and local food at 5tal da Musica.

There isn’t much to do in Praia, trust me.

There isn’t much to do in Praia, trust me. I have lived on Santiago Island for three years so I have to go there sometimes. Usually people judge the country after visiting Praia, later they see how different it is from the rest of Cape Verde. I’d recommend one day at most. Visit Plateau, Cidadela Velha, maybe Prainha beach. It’s better to travel around the island or visit Fogo 🫶🏼
