The place is directly on the beautiful black beach, endless.. pure nature. The ocean is just there.. wonderful sound to fall asleep with. I am not sure how many places of this kind are left.. The manager was hugely helpful to organize activities and solve any issue. The photos show the beach by the property and climbing Pico do Fogo.

We really loved the owner who was extremely helpful, very humble and a native of Fogo. He knows all the most beautiful spots to discover on Fogo and is an expert host.

The terrace has a nice ocean view and space to dry clothes in the sun. There is also an air condition unit in the bedroom but it is very loud.

New boutique hotel. Well kept. Room had lots of space and storage. Rooftop restaurant with gorgeous view of the ocean below. Food was great; home cooked by Fatima, Vany, and Lidiane. Breakfast is included. Made to order eggs (the veggie and cheese omelet is really, really, really good - and big). All staff are so nice, sweet and fun.

I have stayed here twice and really enjoyed it. The views from the public terrace of Sao Filipe are stunning. I stayed in the luxury room 10 two nights and it was so beautiful with a very high ceiling, a full two door window that opens to purple bougainvillea and the same gorgeous view as the terrace. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have tried in my life, firm but still soft. The workers are nice and helpful if you need any help planning a trip to the volcano, etc. The owner is generous and kind and the atmosphere among the staff is comfortable. Breakfast is a fancy version of a typical Cabo Verde breakfast: white bread, boiled eggs, guava jelly, Fogo traditional cheese, papaya, etc. The location is in the heart of Sao Filipe and walking distance to all the restaurants and the black beach.
