A Perfect Stay!
I stayed in a family room at Hilltop Lodge Lalibela with my beloved family and absolutely loved it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the location is ideal for exploring the churches. Highly recommended for a peaceful and authentic stay!

It's a small guest house with super friendly staff. Tery and his family makes you feel at home. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are modern & clean. It's a small town and the location is great. We had the room with the view, which was amazing. Super chill and awesome vibe 🥰

Outstanding Stay at Lalibela Hotel
Lalibela Hotel was truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had — honestly even better than many hotels in Addis Ababa. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations.
I originally planned to stay for just one night, but I ended up extending my stay to five nights because it felt so comfortable, safe, and like a home away from home. That alone says a lot about the quality of this hotel.
The value for money is exceptional. For the price, the quality, comfort, and service are simply unmatched. It’s rare to find a place where you receive far more than what you paid for, but Lalibela Hotel does exactly that.
The food is amazing. They have a restaurant on-site that serves delicious meals and can even deliver to your room. The breakfast is also delicious, and it’s included in the already affordable room rate, which makes the deal even better.
What impressed me most is how helpful and protective the hotel management is. They genuinely care about their guests. They warn you about tourist-guide scammers who try to overcharge and they help protect you from being taken advantage of. They truly look after you and make sure you are safe and treated fairly.
The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were top-tier. I highly recommend Lalibela Hotel to anyone visiting — it’s truly the best of the best and a place I would happily stay at again.

The food was excellent, and the view was amazing. I loved the wrap-around porches and the furniture available on them (just wish I had time to use them!) This is a perfect place for a relaxing stay to enjoy water, hiking, or just reading a book.

The best thing about Hidmo Cozy Place is the vibe.
The best thing about Hidmo Cozy Place is the vibe. It felt like home as soon as I was welcomed and I saw the room. The place is just so peaceful, with great views . I was in another world. The bonus was getting fed everyday with beautiful plant based meals, lovely juices and coffee to die for.
I lived with the host Desta his wonderful family and staff for two weeks, just as I was getting used to them I had to leave.
Lalibela is a beautiful place in my opinion steeped in history very special and spiritual, that trip has changed my life.
I loved it so much I have booked again to return.
Great value for money, Hidmo Cozy Place will not disappoint, it’s all in the name!

Lalibela is famous for its churches.
Lalibela is famous for its churches. Theres nothing else of interest to see there, so one full day is enough. You can take the morning flight, see half the churches in the afternoon and the rest the following morning prior to take the flight back to Addis.

The churches of Lalibela are magnificent.
The churches of Lalibela are magnificent. The whole city seems very poor, but it's very clean and the people are extremely welcoming. We stayed only for 24h, but it was enough to see all 11 churches (part of them in the afternoon on the day of arrival, and the rest before departure in the morning of the secod day).
