We had a wonderful stay at Santa’s Luxury Apartment! The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt like a true home away from home.
The owners were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, adding special touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. Fresh flowers brightened up the space, and the fully stocked kitchen (including everything needed for breakfast!) was a fantastic surprise. Our kids were especially delighted to find a bowl of gummies waiting for them—such a sweet and thoughtful gesture!
We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The villa was beautiful, and family friendly. The staff had the house fully stocked with groceries, and assisted us with any needs we requested.

We liked the staff: he was professional, polite, and proactive. He called us to double-check at what time we were arriving and to make sure we knew how to check in. We liked the room: it was huge, comfy, and had a sauna. The location is very relaxing in the woods, but at the same time it's a walking distance from Santa's office and reindeer.

Having the luxury of a sauna in our own glass house, a jacuzzi in the the back yard, reindeer sleighs jingling through the pine forest outside of our windows, walking-distance to all the fun in Santa Village and lying down on the sofa or the bed looking into a sky with northern light atop, I don't know what else one can wish for! Heaven on earth!
Their hospitality is welcoming and caring at the reception and the restaurant.
The fine dining experience at their restaurant is splendid! The reindeer of the day was the best we've tasted. And the willow grouse was so divine, it left us speechless for a minute. We also loved the chocolate mousse for dessert. For breakfast, there is a very wide range of selection with local berry products and specialties, must try their fresh sour bread!

The location was convenient to the train station for the Santa Claus Express. It was also very convenient for local dining, travel to Santa Claus Village and the Arkitkum. We also booked a day trip to Rauna Zoo. The space was lovely and comfortable and the sauna was a much needed break. Having an ample breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. The staff was also very accommodating with baggage storage at beginning and end and making sure we had all we needed.

First of all, I never go and do comments on places like this but I had to do for this one. We had the greatest experience here, comfy rooms, actually AMAZING food (kudos to the kitchen staff here), and great team. Specifically would like to thank Nina for arranging our birthday celebration. She handled everything super well.
Our room had a great view, and if you are lucky and in a good weather, you can see the northern lights from your bed!
There aren’t many activities inside the hotel besides the sauna but to be honest we felt super comfy and once again, food was so good.
We saw northern lights but we will definitely come back to this hotel just for a peaceful trip and food next year.
Silent, peaceful, clean and new. Thanks for everything.
The staff was nice. The rooms were clean cozy and warm. The sauna was a perk and the closet to hold luggage was a lifesaver. The breakfast could've shown a bit more variety and the sauna shower could've been cleaned but other than that it was perfect.

Amazing nature.
Amazing nature. Too much ads about all the hassle activities. Just 15 min out from city there is amazing nature!
People were friendly welcoming and honest. Spoke good English. Restaurants clean and menus in English.
With taxi have to be very careful.

Great food at Restaurant 21.
Great food at Restaurant 21. At the time I visted in May, most tourist attractions were closed. If you don't know how to pay for parking and leave your car for 15 minutes you will get a ticket. I kind of regret visiting Rovaniemi, except for Restaurant 21, which has excellent food at reasonable prices.

We loved feeding reindeer at the Santa Claus village and heating sausages on the outdoor fire, along with drinking hot chocolate! We loved the 2km husky sled rides too and the hiking trails in Vattunki Wilderness resort. Glow in the dark arctic mini golf was so fun too as was enjoying the views over the river in the snow. We also loved the Sushi buffet in Luckiefuns! We were sad to miss seeing inside the church though!

Its a great place to visit and the length of the stay...
Its a great place to visit and the length of the stay depends on what activities you want to do. Some of the people who i met came there specifically for skiing and mentioned it has one of the best grounds for cross country skiing.
I went there especially for northern lights and some winter activities because it was my first time visiting such a cold place. Northern light depends on your luck because we were able to see it on our 3rd (last) night. If you are a fan of winter activities, you can plan to stay longer. and if you just want to try different ones, then i think a week-long journey would be more than enough.
Also, its just 2 hours from Levi, which is also a great place for snowboarding, alpine skiing, etc. But the accomodation in Levi is not that high and expensive so rovaniemi can be a good place to stay.

Overall relaxed atmosphere, uncrowded, very clean air.
Overall relaxed atmosphere, uncrowded, very clean air. Good choice of Local/traditional and international restaurants (we ate in "Nest" Lappland restaurant in town and the Japanese buffet in the shopping complex). Small but very nice ski resort nearby (bus timetable very unusual but taxi ride 21 euros and also in walking distance [45-50 minutes]). Ski prices reasonable and comprable to other European resorts. Lovely walking round town and by the river bank in the snow - drivers always stopped for us. Nice countryside immediately outside town and we were driven to a national park by a local tour company in town. Good quality produce in local supermarkets (we went to "K" Supermarket and the smaller grocery shop in town). Prices similar to UK/London in some cases (chocolate, eggs, milk, meat, fish, cheese, restaurant food) or a bit more in other cases (alcohol and coffee in supermarkets/pubs/restaurants/cafes) but deals to be had if you look for them. You can only get alcohol 9am to 9pm and only beer and lower strength wine in supermarkets - all stronger wine, spirits and liquers in special shops apparently - which we did not go to. There were other activities (i.e. winter ones like snow mobiling) but we did not have time to try them.
