Quirky traditional house with a very helpful and welcoming set of hosts. Children felt very welcome and loved the cat entertainment. Drink upon arrival, places to visit and eat explained and taxi booked for us to airport in the morning. Breakfast was lovely as was the lady who prepared it (and the tasty jams).

Portiragnes and Portiragnes-Plage are about 4km apart. The inland village has very charming little streets and an old church built with blocks of lava. The beach community is more for vacationers although some people live there year round. It is a maze of small cottages.

Vias is a very pretty town, market twice a week and a lovely town square. Buses and train service to Beziers and Agde are reasonably good. it is flat so walking/cycling is easy. A very clean and friendly place.

The hotel is a budget hotel as it is a motorway stop off.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We arrived really late and the night time receptionist managed to assist us to get some hot food from a delivery company for which we were really grateful.
The room was basic but comfortable.
However as we found with several hotels on the road we have recently stayed in they seem to be very short on towels.
Now I know that everyone is trying help the environment but really I would like more than I hand towel and 1 bath towel as they don't dry by morning if used in the evening and I have long hair so I had to use my husbands towel to be able to dry my hair following my shower in the morning.
The shower was not disabled friendly it was very cramped and I could only just get into the very small enclosed space.
Once in however, it was a nice strong shower.
Perhaps remember that those of us who are disabled need a little extra room to be at least able to turn around in as my husband has to help me to wash which was made difficult with the amount of space available.
The breakfast was continental and actually really nice.
I just couldn't reach anything by myself which was embarrassing as I had to ask other guests, the staff and my husband when he came down for his breakfast to help me reach things.
As I am a wheelchair user I find this shouldn't be happening in this day and age.
In fairness to the hotel they really were very apologetic and helped straight away but I should not have to ask.
This did happen in other hotels it was not just this hotel by the way I just want to make that very clear.
The Car Parking facilities were very good
Overall the stay was good and we would stay again whilst travelling through France.

Serignan is a small, typical beautiful town in the south of France. It has a church from the 800s. Serignan is not as known as other places in France, which is great as it's less touristy. It's a nice stop all around. Be sure to stay in Villa Kalimera while you're there.

A great location and apartment and will return.
A great location and apartment and will return. So, much that we are thinking of booking all apartments with our extended family. Great location, that once there, no car is really needed. The Canal walks, beach, markets and bars are quite wonderful for a really stress free holiday.
However, whilst there, I constantly felt this would be great to share with extended family, especially, Grandchildren as it has waterparks etc near by if needing a top up of all the other amenities near by.
The Jet Ski experience available next to the beach is also a great and my partner was treated to this on our trip.

Tamarissiere is a perfect place from which to explore the Languedoc. There is a ferry taxi which goes back and forth across the Herault River so you can visit Grau d'Agde for shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, the several weekly markets and their beautiful beach. We used Sun7 sun beds and parasols to enjoy the weather, swim and be waited on. The Mediterranean is 'just there' for swimming, jet skiing, beach combing and more. It's a little peace of heaven on Earth.

We have been visiting Valras for decades in the summer for one to 3 days' visits. Nice and friendly, good beaches for families, lovely little streets with shops, ice creams, seafood places, worth a visit if you are after a non-fancy stay at the seaside with kids or as a couple. Nowhere near as upper end as Cap d'agde is, but lovely nevertheless.

The only thing that spoiled it was all the dog poo littering the streets in flower beds or on the pavement. Clean that up and it would get more ⭐️

Stunning beach, clear water and safe calm seas. Markets, restaurants and lots to do. Boat trips to fort etc recommended. Stayed 3 days, wish we had stayed a least a week. Very relaxing Summer location.
