I liked how secure the building was as well as the individual room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was, how nice the mattress was, and how cold the AC got.

The people of La Ceiba are friendly and usually helpful. There is a lot of traffic depending upon the time of day. But that is something you deal with in a lot of places these days. La Ceiba has been slow to develop alternate routes. Also, if one is traveling from San Pedro etc. you need to take your time as the road isn't in optimal shape at this time. It has deteriorated over the last few years and the repairs have been slow. If traveling at night, you need to be aware of the speed bumps that have been put in place wherever there are settlements of people.

The people were friendly and helpful!

The people were friendly and helpful! The cab driver was knowledgeable and basically became my own driver while I was in La Ceiba. His recommendations were terrific - especially the restaurants he recommended right on the beach. I will definitely make another trip!

La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as...

La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.
