The town offers a few traditional beaches, but the real gems...

The town offers a few traditional beaches, but the real gems are the rocky swimming spots with crystal-clear water and immediate access to deeper sea. There are plenty of these secluded "private" beaches along the coastline. A fantastic destination for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts!

"Havišće beach" (13 minutes by walk) is suitable also for...

"Havišće beach" (13 minutes by walk) is suitable also for small children because of gradual bank. "Vodna beach" (5 minutes by walk) has steep bank with a concrete jetty and therefore is suitable only for people who are able to swim and prefer to swim directly from the shore without walking in shallow sea. On both beaches was warm water and there was only very few people, mostly local people and tourists from nearest apartments. On "Grabrova beach" (3 km by car) you can buy very tasty ice cream, but there was a lot of people and it has a cold water (because of cold springs).

A cozy little villa in a calm and quiet location, with the beach not far away and even a nearby cave to visit. The place is well equipped for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen, terrace, pool, outdoor grill area, good Wi-Fi, and two bedrooms. Dogs are welcome, which is a big plus. Definitely recommended — we would gladly come again.

Kraljevica is simple, small place not very touristic, which is what I liked the most. It is not typical tourist place along the seaside. You go to the caffe and there are locals. Service is pleasant. Plant place to park, lots of trees and green.

The city/village is lovely.

The city/village is lovely. The beach area is quite clean and family-friendly. It has a small playground for children, which is a lifesaver in the hot afternoons. The restaurants are also ok: a must-try are the Bistro Pizzeria Vista and the Konoba "Nora".

We visited during the pre-season, and the area was very peaceful and quiet. The streets are narrow and there is very little traffic, making it a relaxing place to stay. There is more activity around the harbor, where you can find several restaurants offering good value for money. Part of the beach has very shallow water and a sandy shoreline, which was already perfectly suitable for swimming even at the end of May.

It is small village situated atop the hill that is part of the bay. It has everything you need in easy reach by car. The streets are romantically narrow and the views are great from up there. One thing we did not enjoy, was the meat at the Konzum supermarket in town. We all got sick for a couple of day, due to food poising, we could only attribute to bifteki type meat we had bought there. A few days later I noted all new packages of Cevapcici in the shelf - every single one slightly bloated!! So this store is not be recommended nor trusted. Go to Lidl in Malinska. Much better.

Nothing major in this town. Just an old grocery store.

Nothing major in this town. Just an old grocery store. But if you have a car, it's a great starting point to visit nearby beaches both to the east, west and south on the island. The view is nice on the terrace so that gives you a vacation vibes. With a car you can get by, find Lidl's or other larger groceries around, and again visiting Medveja or Lovran is possible.

Modernly furnished apartment with a view of the Adriatic Sea...

Modernly furnished apartment with a view of the Adriatic Sea and within walking distance of the cozy harbor and boulevard with restaurants, terraces and bars. We particularly enjoyed the quiet surroundings, the atmosphere at the harbor and the sound of the church bells.

Very cute town nice people.

Very cute town nice people. Good Restaurants and coffee shops and bakery even a grocery store by the place we stayed at. Nice boats and clean and beautiful beach for kids and adults. I highly recommend to visit and spend time there.
