Hotels near Trieste Airport (TRS), Trieste

Many food places were in walking distance. Most people speak zero english. There is a cool "geek shop" called Magician's Circle, I enjoyed that. THEY MOSTLY HAVE SEA FOOD ONLY. I didn't know that their food is regional. Barely any of the classics you would expect (couldn't find any carbonara nearby for example). Only 2 playgrounds, terrible. Very few games to play there so if you got a kid, good luck. Not every place delivers food to non italians (their website only accepts italian phone number format). JustEat.it was a good food delivery site. Sea is pretty close by car. Just write Sistiana beach, it's 15-20 minutes. 35 euros for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella. 15 euros for a whole day of parking. Calm place, but it doesn't scream "italian city".

I was researching somewhere quiet to stay for one night before an early morning flight home from Trieste airport back to the uk and i found Statranzano -Donatella gave us directions to walk to the property and back to the airport - a code to get throught the gate also meant we were able to leave the property at 3.30am for our 20 minute walk to the airport. Likewise if we had chosen to arrive later for our stay we had the option to use the code. The property was perfect in a peaceful area and the room and facilities were excellent.

The house is easily accessible, parking in the yard. The rooms were clean, the breakfast is provided downstairs, it's a self-service, toast, biscuits, croissants, marmalade, butter, tea, different types of juice, water; coffee from a vending machine. You just leave the key in the basket provided at checkout.

Beds and mattress were uncomfortable, the property is ok for a few nights stay but not more than a weekend. Only one set of towels were provided for a 9 nights stay. The host did not offer cleaning nor fresh linen or fresh towels. The property is looking tired and dated and in need of a fresher decor. Bathroom facilities are good however the bathroom itself could do with a bit of TLC. The communication with the host was good.

A classic Italian 'old town' with lots of character. Local Italians were friendly and engaging but reported that they are already feeling like "strangers in their own town" because of a considerable influx of foreign migrant workers who do not seem at pains to integrate; giving the town a somewhat 'alien' feeling when walking around. Difficult to find a food outlet for example, that still served both typical Italian food and alcohol.

An unforgettable family holiday – we couldn't have chosen a better place! We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Pahor, and all four of us—my husband, my two children, and I—absolutely loved it. We stayed in a deluxe apartment overlooking the forest and the pool. It was incredibly spacious for our family of four, with two floors, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of room to relax. The peaceful location was exactly what we were looking for, away from the crowds yet close to so many attractions. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant deserves special praise. The food was outstanding, offering much more than the typical Italian trattoria. We enjoyed delicious traditional Italian dishes, excellent steaks, and fresh seafood. The hotel's own red and white house wines were also excellent and complemented the meals perfectly. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection of fresh pastries, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, and many other options. The location was ideal for exploring the region. During our stay we visited Trieste, went rafting in Slovenia, relaxed on Italian and Slovenian beaches, and explored the fascinating First World War memorials, including the Hungarian Chapel commemorating the Hungarian soldiers who fought in the Battles of the Isonzo. By the end of our holiday, we didn't want to leave. It was one of the best family vacations we've ever had, and we would happily return. We highly recommend Hotel Pahor to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay while enjoying everything this beautiful region has to offer.

Don't hesitate to book a room here. It has everything you need. The bathroom was big, the bed comfy and we had a room with a table and 4 chairs. Hotel is clean with a bar and restaurant as well. We did not use them, but by the looks of the rest of the hotel, we would have used if we had a longer stay. The front desk staff was friendly and called us a car to take us to the airport at 5:45 for a 6:30am flight. We checked in so quickly at Trieste airport and had plenty of time for our flight.

We chose this hotel because we did not want to drive for more than five hours in one day. I thought that this may be a good stop for a one night stay. But we were WRONG - and if we had known it would have been so good we would have stayed for at least three. The room was perfect as was the breakfast - especially the room. We also had an evening meal in the bar which again was very good. I do believe we will put this hotel on our 'to do again' list - But for longer. Thank You

i liked the friendly helpful atmosphere. It was a little difficult to know where to arrive- into a busy cafe. Room and service was excellent. Unfortunately i was too late to enjoy the food but the morning coffee and croissant was great. . location close to airport was perfect.

The position of Monfalcone is just perfect - beaches, Miramare castle and Trieste and Udine are just a stone’s throw away. The city is nice, with a beautiful historical buildings and monuments, but the atmosphere there is just not so friendly.
