This was the best garage to studio conversions I have ever seen:) The place is small, but amply convenient for two people. There is a small kitchenette with mini items like s&p, cooking oil, some coffee, fridge, etc. A mini market is a few minutes away, so you could be making your own breakfast in a jiffy, since there are no restaurants around. The place was super clean and it looks like the host took extra steps to make guests feel as comfortable as possible. There was even a mini medicine kit with basic stuff. The yard or terrace is the best part - there is quite a lot of space to hang out outside with two tables, seating and a hammock . If you wish to bbq in the evening that was set up too. There is enough privacy despite the premises being located on the main road. A very cosy nice little place, better if you have your own vehicle.

It is a special experience. Houses are often decorated as ancient, but here is a renovated old house with all the comforts. My whole family was satisfied. The instructions to get to the room were clear. Great value for money.

Nice beaches.
Nice beaches. A historical town with some interesting architecture. We took an 1-hour cruise at the canal, which was a nice way of learning about the site. The house museum of the Hoyer Guest House was interesting and it has a nice traditional restaurant. There is a tourist map that shows walking routes in the old town, which are marked on the pavement. A tip for the interested: in Jaunliepaja there is a street called Esperanto Street (Esperanto iela)!

They have to update information on Booking.com.
They have to update information on Booking.com. Check-in in fact is until 17.00 not 21.00, check-out time is incorrect (there is no one in the morning) I arrived at 19.00 and had to leave early around 8.00, there was no one at the registration desk), no info on Wi-Fi access, no breakfast, that was included in price, and, in general, very poor communication with staff by phone. But room was very nice and clean, and Baltic see was super!

Our favourite things were the beautiful beach, relaxing by the campfire in the evenings, and the amazing view from the house.
Where did you eat?
We cooked all our meals at the house. We grilled kebabs (shashlik) and roasted potatoes over the campfire, which made for a wonderful family experience.
Is it easy to get around Bernāti?
Yes, it's a very convenient and easy place to get around. Everything we wanted was within easy reach.
What are some great activities for families with young children like yours?
Walking along the beach, exploring the forest, and collecting fallen branches for the evening campfire were our children's favourite activities. It's a perfect place to slow down, spend time outdoors, and enjoy nature together.

The city of Liepāja is truly amazing. It is charming, welcoming, and beautifully clean. Every evening offered a different concert in a new location, creating a vibrant cultural atmosphere throughout the city.
Culture is clearly at the heart of Liepāja—the city where the wind was born. The seaside is breathtaking, and the cosy cafés along the coast are the perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets while listening to live jazz or relaxing house music. Secluded little town with vacation houses far and in between. Pine tree park is most enticing, with the view of the Baltic sea as a gift of amber after peaceful walk. And you do not have to travel to some tropical island in the Pacific to experience perfect white sand at the beach - it is all here. And no busy tourist attractions to distract you from experiencing nature at your own inner pace. Perfect getaway for those who seek solitude or share quite moments with your best other half.

Interesting city, relaxed atmosphere, good infrastructure, from the old town, you can walk most places easily. Lots of shops for groceries, in the northern part of the city, there are nice clean beaches, you can go fishing in the Baltic sea as well.

Our stay at Bēces was truly unforgettable. We spent a week here as a couple and enjoyed every moment. The wooden house is built with high quality and tastefully decorated, creating a wonderful atmosphere. It is located in a scenic and quiet plot close to the seaside.
For a pleasant alternative to cooking at home, we highly recommend the restaurant/café "Dzintariņš" in Bernati, which is just a 10-minute walk away.
