This was the a great location to access centro! We enjoyed visiting the cathedral, the Museo de Los Cinco Pueblos, and Palacio de Gobierno. We loved our room’s views of the square and the rooftop terrace to take in the sunset. The late checkout time was also really convenient.

This is a beautiful place with cool mountain weather.
This is a beautiful place with cool mountain weather. The site is mostly frequented by Mexicans. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the in-house al fresco restaurant served fresh local fare. We felt relaxed and very welcome. Be sure to arrive before the gates close at 5:30 pm (althought we were accommodated for our late arrival) and be aware that there is a long bumpy approach road. Cabins don't have cooking facilities.

Friendly and respectful people.
Friendly and respectful people. People seem to be busy, hard working people. Did not see druggies, beggers or homeless people. Street musicians add to a communty ambiance.. The goverment needs to trim the beautiful trees in the plaza, beautify the area, make a ttractive to turists and residents. Publicize more the historical locations , place visible signs pn Juan Escutia and Amado Nervo museums. Great potential for the city, but needs government attention

We met many pleasant local people at hotel, restaurants and on our walk around Centro. Even invited by a couple to stay in their guest house in the future. Old Tepic is a bit run down but still interesting. We enjoyed walking and discovering plazas parks people and birds. Does not feel like a tourist town.
