We were happy to be back at SunStar Hotel for a couple of days. The facilities were nice and our room was the top caliber of cleanliness as we remembered it. We really appreciated the warm greeting from different members of the SunStar team upon our arrival; they have become our friends 😊 And their accommodation of a driver to the airport in the early morning hours was truly appreciated 🙏

Better than renting hotel room, car is parked right in front of door, should provide television & refrigerator & microwave, also with simple sofa, as the metal chair is broken, water pressure should be better with usage of water pump

Batu Maung is a great place.
Batu Maung is a great place. I just knew on the third day bcoz no time to explore. Pantai Esen is Graet but I didn't knkw before I came here. There are also shopping places like a supermarket but I only knew on the way back home 😔.

Walking distance to great morning breakfast selection, Kek Lok Si Temple, 7-Eleven. Fell hungry in the night, there's a very good Nasi Kandar operating from a coffee shop which coffee shop are close and only Nasi Kandar stall open.

Food was front and centre for us and the options were amazing. We did a food tour early in our stay and this gave us excellent and varied options for the rest of the week. George Town is a welcoming and vibrant place although I could have done without menus being constantly waved at me as I walked along the street. Lots of access to taxis through Grab. Overall, an excellent place to visit.

great if you have your own transportation. going out is usually 30mins drive or more. not because of the distance, more cause of the traffic jam. some 20km drive can take up to an hour during rush hours.

Definitely Penang as Jewel of the Oriental remains to this day since was crowned 👑 by the authority/tourist boards. Good delicious yummy yummy street food especially famous Penang Char Kway Teow, traditional biscuits, tourists attraction stations and many more fabulous places like see You At the Top at Komtar. Traffic jam shall be pass headache later with the complete LRT public transporter in the Jewel Island. Penang must visit Once in a life time affair. SIMPLY THE BEST 👌.

I was at Penang Hill.
I was at Penang Hill. It was supposed to be only for 30 minutes, but the furnicular train ride was so smooth on a sunny afternoon at 1:30PM that upon arrival I could not resist staying for nearly 90 minutes - as the place has been upgraded very well. The weather is slightly warmer than Cameron Highlands only. There is a construction work to upgrade the hawker area. I will return in 3 years' time.
There is no more ferry rides for cars. I drove in from Butterworth using the Penang (first) bridge and left Georgetown via the Second Bridge. This 2nd bridge ride is much longer - and the scenery makes a happy memorable holiday.

Nice place and convenient to travel around. Closer to town, jetty so easy to get to other areas. I think it's best to stay here. You can try Nasi Kandar, Cendol and char koay teow near Chowrasta Bazaar. Vist the Upside Down museum. Can drive to Genting food court in Island Glades. From there driving to Penang Hill, jetty, Padang Kota , Kek Lok Si temple, big Thaneer malai temple and Pulau Tikus is easy..
