Very spacious apartment with an amazing view from its two balconies. I used the place as my digital nomad base for a week and it was absolutely great. Good internet connection suitable for video calls without breaking up, comfortable working spaces in both rooms, clean and comfy bed, spacious bathroom. The hotel pool was large, quite deep and long enough to be suitable even for swimming training (~20 meters in its longest parts) as it was mostly empty. Location ideal for exploring Penang via public transport - bus line 101, which covers most of the points of interest, stops right at the hotel. Infrequent direct airport bus available too. Few good restaurants and a hawker centre within short walking distance.

Managed to request a room which was elderly friendly (nearer to the entrance and not having to walk up many flights of steps while also quieter. Clean rooms with Netflix (somehow it was disconnected on my last day). Fully equipped with water cooler and car park space (it can get a bit cramped if all the rooms are booked tho). Good view of surrounding and even the sea from the top balcony.

Tanjung Bungah is covered with beautiful beaches and stretch of hotels, high end and also budget hotel. You can find a lot of food stalls and restaurant too. There are mini markets along the road, family mart and 7 Eleven too. There are also halal food for muslim tourist. Spending 1 or 2 days will not be enough if you love to do cycling and venture other parts of the places like Batu Feringhi.

I like it because it is away from the traffic of Georgetown...

I like it because it is away from the traffic of Georgetown on the one side and from touristic Batu Ferringhi on the other. A handful of decent restaurants supplement the many informal local huts, giving all levels of cost and quality for variable dining. All the local folk are courteous and kindly, though English is universally poor to incomprehensible. Excellent modern buses connect with Georgetown etc. on a frequent, low-cost service. Car hire is not expensive and a liberating device for island discovery. Pop-up Fruit stalls abound for an exotic breakfast in your hotel room or on the beach. Meridien Hotel has the cleanest beach!

Tanjung Bungah offers beautiful beaches.

Tanjung Bungah offers beautiful beaches. There are many delicious food available around, and many cafes too. Apart from that, malls can be reached easily by driving on your own or via grab car. The only downside is when we wanted to go to the city, the traffic is terrible. We couldn't stand the traffic.

I liked the pool best . It has the adult and kids pool with the waterfall and the surrounding greeneries. Loved the easy access to the lovely beach! On the beach, it was equipped with swings and a hammock! For the room, I was finally happy with my upgrade, room 613, especially after I had complained about the first room that I had booked. The upgrade had a beautiful Oceanview. The room had some upgrading done with soft grey hard wood flooring, tiles on the eating area. It was a delight to rest in to enjoy views! My first room was a horrid sight. Rm 601.The carpet was worn out to the bare bottom. Totally thread bare and faded. TV was not working. No wifi password was given. The big bathroom was actually built for a wheelchair accessible use. It had a concrete slab seat under the shower head. There was no tea, coffee nor bottles of water. This room was privately owned and managed. The hotel has no connections to my stay. So read carefully before you booked. The whole property was old and poorly maintained. Hallway carpet dirty and brown and badly stained all along the hallway on level 6. The pool shower room had stale odor and water pressure weak.

Strategically located between Georgetown and Batu Feringghi, as well access to inner roads that takes you to other parts of Penang island. Many food choices of a variety of cuisines. Beaches are clean in general, and traffic not too heavy (like in Georgetown). Nice eateries with reasonable pricing such as Lebanon (Arab food), and Nadiah Tomyam. In Georgetown, a world of food splendor awaits, with Gurney Drive Hawker Centre, Padang Kota Lama, Nasi Kandar Line Clear, BeeHua Kafe, Peranakan House Cafe, Mee Goreng Bangkok Lane (relocated to New World Park in Jalan Burma).

I've been staying at this hotel since I was a kid, and now I'm 30 years old. It's become a tradition for my family, and we've never failed to book this place for our annual trip—sometimes even twice a year. The location is excellent, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the facilities have everything we need. The breakfast buffet is one of the best, with plenty of variety, and the swimming pool together with the direct beach access has always been a highlight of every stay.

Beatiful room. Big and comfortable, also with children, there is still enough space, for comfortable stay. There is a few shops in the hotel, where you can buy everything what you need to stay in the hotel. You can go directly from hotel, to the private beach. Beach is nice, clean, and there is 3 restaurants.

The hotel is just beside the main road. Check in was easy and fast. My kids love the pool. They have kids pool as well as adult pool. The TV functions well with help from the receptionist. Aircond in the room is acceptablly cold though room is big. This cabana room has big space. Good for family.
